TL:DR Save your time and patience and go to Slapshotz instead. Terrible service and overpriced food.
My fiance and I heard a lot of good things about this place. So we came in tonight to eat and we had Ashley as a waitress. She was very short with us, took forever to take order, and the seating hostess did most of her work for her. She brought us our corn bread, our meal and I watched her mention this to Ashley but she ignored her and served her other two (larger) tables at least three times before she came to check on us. I asked for water a second time and she brought it, she wasn't too happy about it. She practically threw the check at us and then made us wait another 10 minutes before taking our payment. It was clear that she was neglecting our table in hopes of bigger tips. We tip well for good service, so I gave half of her tip to the hostess who did most of the work for her. If we come back, It will be for takeout. The food was good, but I found the prices a bit high and selection to be lacking. 26 dollars for two kids of meat is insane. We can pay 4 dollars more at Mineieros and eat all night if we want. Ashley would not survive one shift at any of the bars I worked at in Boston. Pawning your work off on other people is the quickest way to get let go from a waitressing job. There are many training opportunities to be had. She also practically grabbed the portable card reader out of my hand because she didn't want us taking a survey to let the restaurant know how bad the service was. Well, if I had been able to take ithe survey, I wouldn't have had to take...
Read moreMy family and I are from New York and took a road trip to Massachusetts for my son's birthday. We stayed at the holiday inn in Taunton and asked a couple for local places to eat. The couple suggested we try two jerks and another place and we are so happy that we decided on two jerks! I'm not a HUGE BBQ fan but love southern comfort food. We started off with the wings, the dry rub is phenomenal. The chicken is tender and you still get a crunch! We also had the tater tots! Wow! Is all I can say. Just with that we were full but we came to eat! My husband ordered the brisket and pulled pork with sides of potato salad and Mac and cheese. If you're not a big eater, don't order this! We had so much food, all delicious of course! The potato salad had a nice kick with the paprika and scallions. The Mac and cheese was the perfect consistency! I ordered the country fried chicken and again so much food but so delicious! Expect to leave with leftovers. The chicken was moist on the inside and perfectly golden brown in the outside. The mashed potatoes were creamy with small chunks of potato, just the way I love it. The gravy was so delicious that I used it for my potatoes and not the chicken and lastly the collard greens were amazing with the perfect hint of bacon. I am so sad that we live in New York and not closer to two jerks! We will forever tell everyone visiting Massachusetts to stop at two jerks for the most amazing southern food you will ever have! Thanks! p.s. We even bought a mini cooler to take our left overs home and it was...
Read moreThe service over the phone is absolutely disgraceful. I placed an order via the website/ritual platform and received a message stating my order could not be processed. I immediately called the restaurant, as my bank account was debited and got a co-owner on the line who seemed very annoyed with the fact that I was reaching out about the order. He insisted that he had no order and that they did not get paid for the food. The worse part is that he had no idea what Ritual was. I explained it was the ordering platform listed under their online ordering system via google. As a business owner you should know what ordering platforms you are using. He had no way of helping me resolve my issue and pretty much told me to figure it out on my end. Unfortunately, because of this I will not be ordering again from here, or recommending that anyone I know order from here. I refuse to support any business that has poor customer service. Even if he didn't know what was going on he could have shown more empathy and at least attempted to help. He was very dry and defensive. Don't claim to be a co-owner of a restaurant if you are unaware of your...
