Slap Shotz Gastropub — Restaurant in Raynham

I would like to start off by saying going through all these google reviews there is one thing that is the same throughout and that is the person responding to all of them from the restaurant always has an excuses to blame on someone else on why something happened.

Lets speak the truth, the girl manager thinks its ok to consume alcohol at her place of work no matter if she is on shift or off shift. If you are an employee of a bar and you are consuming alcohol you should never interact with customers.

When a bar has 4 people at the bar and 2 tables with guests and a group of families come in the bar should appreciate the business and not confront them and tell them you should of given us a notice.... A notice to bring business to your establishment?

this is a dive bar that does not like business, they just want their couple of regulars that come in and buy drinks and keeps them afloat.

this place with never thrive until the manager is fired or Jon Taffer comes in and wakes them up to what is going on.

After intoxicated manager confronted the customers she then yelled at them and said do not take this out on your waitress... WOW that's what you have to say? maybe instead of becoming intoxicated and using your place of business for free alcohol you could of stepped in to help out your brand new waitress who was over her head and no one was helping her while you sat there and just consumed alcohol. Before you think about responding to my post with stupid comments about the children being your excuse or any other of your stupid responses you might want to think twice about the pictures we have of your consuming the alcohol and taking shots before you decided to confront customers while...

Woof. Where to even start.

We decided to try this place after driving by a bunch of times. Menu looked great and good selection of beers on draft.

I can confidently say this was the worst dining experience I've ever had. Our waiter (and I use that term very loosely) had the personality of a piece of driftwood, and moved at about the same speed. It took over 35 minutes to get the beer I ordered, after having to ask him about it multiple times. When the appetizers came, he asked if we needed plates. What do you think pal?

45 minutes after ordering food and 20 minutes after ordering a second beer (and having received neither), we had enough. We weren't the only ones. Another table that had already finished eating when we got there were STILL waiting for their check! A table that got seated shortly after we got there had JUST gotten their drinks when we were packing up. And they were just as unhappy.

We asked for the check and to get our food to go. It was then we found out that the our waiter never put in my wife or youngest kids food...just mine and my oldest. At that point we told the bartender/manager to just tell us what we owed for the apps and we were out of there. He comped everything, which I feel was the least he could do.

If this nonsense happens even occasionally, I am shocked that this place is still in business after all this time. Which is a shame because the food was good, but not...

This one is a tough review for me. I went there yesterday with my family which included my six-year-old daughter. I had read a lot of good reviews and was eager to try the food. We started off by ordering buffalo wings. The wait for the wings wasn't too bad. The wings came out and were very good. I would give them a 7 out of 10. We then proceeded to order our meal. We ordered Burgers and Fries and my daughter ordered the mac and cheese. We ended up to waiting about 45 minutes for that order. Our waitress was very nice and apologized for the wait. When food finally came, I was very disappointed. The fries were overcooked and although the burger looked amazing, the beef was unseasoned, burned and very dry. I had asked for medium rare and it was more like well done. The sad part is the burger had the potential for being truly amazing. If you could look past the burnt Burger, the rest of it was very good. There was just something was up with the beef. I'm not sure if I would give this place another chance. Somehow the idea of waiting 45 minutes for an overcooked burger and fries with a bill of $75 is kind of a turn off. In all fairness, my daughter did like the homemade mac and cheese.

If I give this place another chance and I have a better experience, I will definitely...
