I placed an online order at 6:00 pm. It is currently 6:40 pm and the employees have not started working on my order.
To begin, the front door to the store was locked. When I arrived and discovered this, I was taken back because I have already paid for my online order. I wouldn’t have known to come around to the side door if a small boy did not stick his head out the window to tell me I have to go around to the side door. There are no signs. & when you enter, they are claiming their store is closed so they can catch up with orders. They were turning away all customers that did not have online orders.
I currently sitting in chipotle with 11 other people as if I am waiting at the DMV. When I asked the status of my order, my name was at the bottom of a large pile 40 minutes after I have placed the order.
There is one employee actually working. A lady with red hair and a butterfly tattoo on her neck, Rebecca. Her coworkers are either only calling names to customer orders or just bagging food.
I would not be so agitated if the employees present were actually working. I can see 7 employees present with only 1, Rebecca, actually working.
An employee with braids and pink beads, who was previously doing nothing, just brought out a brand new tin of steak, dropped it face down on the ground and held her hand over her mouth, wide-eyed laughing for a good 60 seconds looking for a reaction of humor from those around her. She thought it was funny. And to top it off, she goes to get her coworkers to show what she did for 5 minutes before cleaning it up. Her coworkers also thought it was funny as they photographed the wasted time and steak on the ground.
To top it all off, this same employee later enjoyed a chipotle bowl in the corner of the dining area as I left the building. This is while the store was still closed and many guests remained in the dining area waiting for their food.
When Rebecca was finished making my order, her coworkers had not put chips in a bag for her to add to my order. She had to bag the chips herself, in addition to bagging the rest of my order entirely by herself, and after putting together my meal entirely by herself. I complimented her and assured I’d leave her a positive review. She is appreciated.
I’ve lived in Raytown my entire life. It is disappointing to see great places like this be run to the ground by careless employees. The food was delicious. It was cold, but the flavor was outstanding. I love chipotle and my town, but change needs to happen soon before this place will be forced to shut down due to bad management. I’m rating a 2 because their service was 1, but the food being tasty makes it a 2 star. Hope to see better days, but will not be returning to...
Read moreSo I bring in a bowl to have replaced.. only a bite taken out of it. The problem she has gerd so she cant eat spicy or tomatoes. It had spicy sauce in it. I said she can taste the tomatoes maybe i should have said spicy thats on me but all i remember her saying is tomatoes. The rice maker immediately starts to remake it for me. The manager takes the bag and brings me to a table takes the lid off and starts inspecting it says no tomatoes. I said idk what to tell you my girl said ahe tasted tomatoes. She said well it's made how it shows on receipt. We have some back and forth
Eventually I said well you've touched it now anyways so its a food safety issue if I can just get the replacement bowl and you can have this back. She said I only touched it with the lid. I said you still touched it with your bare hands touching a lid. Thats still a not acceptable. Now we are going back and forth on wether it's acceptable to touch the food with the lid and move it around and still expect a customer to eat it. Yes I did begin to get upset at this point and just politely demand the replacement She responds with your bring rude now and said she'd get a new lid and you can take the food and leave
Only after denying me did I even get upset I did call some choice words absolutely. Because who would not be upset with this line of thinking.
I called and got a refund. And I have a recording of person i spoke withs aying first it's not policy to have them check the food. And second it definitely isn't ok for them to check the food and then deny replacing it.
Why the investigation in the first place she opens the lid she very easily sees its almost not touched. Why not replace it then. No she wants to check it and expect my girl to eat it afterwards. How insane is that. So of course I called her a couple names afterwards I DIDNT RAISE MY VOICE ARE SAY A CURSE WORD UNTIL SHE WENT INTO THE BACK BROUGHT A NEW LID IN AND PUT IT ON THE SAME BOWL AND HANDED IT TO ME. like that's when I lost it.
I should have left the food. But I thought my girl might want to take it in herself she didn't want to because she figured she might get tased by the security guard if the manager...
Read moreThe kitchen manager on the night shift of 3-10-19 Deja, super rude! We ordered online and got it delivered. When the door dash guy got here he told me “The manager told me to tell you that you don’t have chips, cheese or salsa!” I asked him “Why didn’t the manager call me?” His response “She told me to tell you. I’m not sure why.” So I call up there and the kitchen manager answers and the attitude started from there! I asked to speak to the manager and she was rude and said “Yeah thats me”. So I ask, why didn’t you call me to tell me this and why send a delivery driver to tell me this? Deja said “I told him to tell you so that’s his problem not mine” whaaat?! Crazy rude response right? So I ask “Is it his job to make sure your kitchen is stocked also?” So Deja said “No but that’s his problem so call me.” Why would I call door dash to complain about a pick up he had no control over? So, we tell her that almost every time we order online and pick up it’s almost always wrong and that it’s frustrating to pay for something and it’s wrong. So Deja told us “Well I suggest you never order from chipotle again!”
Another very rude comment! I was so shocked that the kitchen manager Deja even said those words!!! So here are some words of advice for everyone, choose any other Chiptole than this one. Most of them are teenagers and don’t care anyways. Seems the kitchen manger wants to get wrote up or fired with how rude she is. Use caution if you want to use this place to order from.
And to Deja’s bosses Byron and Thomas, i’d probably re think her position as a manager if she’s going to be rude and not take accountability from her fail. I’ve had other chipotles call me and tell me if I was going to be missing something as a “customer service call” which I appreciated and left good...
