Harrows Chicken Pies — Restaurant in Reading

Amazing food, but completely poor attitude when it comes to people not being able to eat chicken and asking for one pie without meat in it when placing a big order. It seems like they pies aren’t made there but possible else where. I can take my big orders elsewhere in the future a $300 order turned into a $75 quick. When I asked they laughed on the phone(reading location) and when I asked in person the women gave me a attitude(Medford) I wouldn’t take my business there again which such poor customer service and I would question where the pies actually come from because not being able to preform such a small tasks for someone who can not eat chicken. Surprisingly bland and unappetizing. Don't want to be too critical, but I regret buying this meal even at a discounted price. Thought these would be tasty pies based on the reviews, but it's really just huge chuncks of bland chicken breast with potatoes and carrots in a crust that isn't very good. Mashed potatoes and gravy were similarly underwhelming. Cranberry sauce has the consistency you get from a canned sauce, kind of like a jelly or jam. I was hoping for whole berries.

If you don't like spice or much flavor, maybe you'll enjoy these. My kids like the Marie Calendar pot pies sold at Costco, and even they said this Harrows pie was bland and they didn't want to finish it. Hopefully this helps if you're...

Always fantastic. Has been for years. Fantastic and immediate service. Very nice and helpful staff. They have a great word of mouth reputation because they are so awesome. I always pick up a frozen or fresh pie with vegetables and some rolls whenever I'm in the area. You can buy them cooked 😋. I believe you have to call ahead for that. Just call and ask.
