This is my second time ordering from this restaurant. The first time, I didn’t take any photos, but this time, I made sure to capture everything.
First off, the packaging was neat and clean, with each item carefully packed. As I opened each container, steam rose up, carrying the deep, rich aroma of the spices and seasonings—it was enough to make my mouth water before I even took a bite.
Now, let me share what I ordered:
🔸 Plain Naan – Soft, fresh, and flavorful, even on its own. Sometimes simple is best!
🔸 Chicken Momo with Dipping Sauce – These dumplings were just the right size, filled generously with juicy chicken. The dipping sauce was smooth and full of flavor, without being too spicy—perfect for someone like me who prefers milder heat. I should’ve ordered more sauce, though! Next time, I won’t forget.
🔸 Chicken Tikka Masala – The portion size was just right, and the sauce had a slight kick of spice, but nothing overwhelming. It wasn’t too thick or heavy—it coated my rice perfectly without overpowering it. Yes, I love eating it over rice, and I have to say, the rice itself was fluffy and well-cooked, making each bite even more enjoyable.
Everything was delicious, and I’ll definitely be ordering again. If you haven’t tried this spot yet, I highly...

My wife and I were passing through Reading, PA on our way back home to Baltimore and decided to search for Indian restaurants nearby. Himalayan Bistro popped up with glowing reviews — and now we know why!
We stopped in for lunch and both ordered the thali: she chose the Vegetarian Thali, and I went with the Chicken Thali. Each came with delicious palak paneer and dal, but the standout elements were the main dishes. My wife's cauliflower in a rich tomato sauce was beautifully mild yet bursting with flavor, and my chicken in a similar tomato-based sauce delivered the perfect medium heat — just enough to wake up the palate without overpowering it. Every dish was fantastic — rich in flavor but refreshingly light on oils and creams, allowing the ingredients to truly shine.
The table service was also exceptional — warm, welcoming, and highly attentive without being overbearing. It’s clear they care about every guest’s experience.
Our only regret? That Himalayan Bistro isn’t closer to our home! If you're anywhere near Reading, do yourself a favor and make a stop. This place is a real find — we can't wait...
Read moreMy family of three dined in for lunch. We were warmly greeted by Shiva, our server. (My daughter is very picky and her father chose Indian to get her out of her comfort zone) We ordered lamb chops, chicken shish kebabs, and chicken biryani. Everything was fresh and you tasted the love and effort put into every dish. The rice was perfectly cooked and I say this with confidence, their mint sauce (not minty at all) was a perfect compliment to ANY DISH THERE! It was so good, (my daughter loved it so much) Shiva made sure we went home with some. We left there feeling satisfied and not overly stuffed. We will definitely be returning! Also the food was aesthetically pleasing, we didn't think to take any pictures, no worries I’m sure you won’t be...
