I love this restaurant the food is so yummy and amazing. But be warned - the Waitress here is the rudest woman I have ever encountered. One of the ladies is lovely but three of them are rude and awful. We asked if we could move tables as we were a big group of 5 and have eaten there before and usually order a lot. She fought with us, insisting the table we were at was fine. (It was not and later in the night she found that out quickly). She started putting our check all together after we had specially asked for separate checks. She then fought with us asking us why we couldn't just do one big check. We explained we had different ways we wanted to pay, then she tried to explain we could split it evenly (as if we didn't know). We later came to realize she just wanted a bigger tip. She was rude the entire night, rushing us, making us order before we were ready, giving us to go boxes before we had even finished eating. Then at the very end of the night, stood over each person (and did the checks individually so she could watch) while we wrote her tips! Then had the audacity to tell us we didn't tip her enough, gave us a rant why she needed more money for her service and tried to get us to pay her more. She also went on to say that they don't pay her and she helps the bus boy and that we needed to pay her more. She went on and on telling us that she needs more money and more tips and that she only works for tips. She was absolutely awful. I always tip 20% but her service made me want to tip nothing. The really nice waitress I tipped 25%, but she did not in any way deserve even a 10% tip (yet I still did tip her). She truly should not be in...
Read moreThis was my first and last time here. The client I take care of hasn't been here in 7 years and he said it was the best around. So I walked in and asked to see the menu, my client wanted fried shrimp and I couldn't see it on menu so I asked if she had fried shrimp and she said if u don't see it on the menu then we don't have it. So I called my client to see what he wanted he got the shrimp in lobster sauce and cake with pork fried rice and egg roll . I ordered the general gaus chicken with rice and egg roll. I asked if I could substitute one of the pork fried rice the house special rice and would pay extra, she then said to me it clearly says no substitutes on lunch specials, which I honestly didn't see it on the menu , so whatever I was dealing with her rudness, If my client didn't want this I would have walked out for sure!!! Wish I went with my gut, this was the worst food EVER rice was squishy and absolutely no flavor in anything and the egg rolls is literally soggy and only cabbage, my client can't stop saying how disgusting it it ..we didn't even eat it and it's expensive, should have gone to mcdonalds. Anyways when I was paying I told her hang on one second I have to transfer money she said ,it declined I said I know I said I had to transfer money , so as I am handing her my card to say try again it's all set she snapped it out of my hand and u could tell she wasn't happy . Never again , never !!!! I don't know how they have a good raring. I...
Read moreMandarin Reading has been our Sunday dinner buffet restaurant of choice for almost a decade, if not more.
The trip this past Sunday was so utterly disappointing and upsetting that it prompted my first ever review.
We go there primarily for the sushi and lobster.
From the get-go, the sushi section had only a few rolls which rice were dry from sitting out too long, and there was no fish topped sushi until later when one salmon roll was added.
Lobster section had only knuckles and body parts barely enough to cover the bottom of the half-size warmer pan. Upon request, lobster was replenished once while we were there.
Even the lowly rice noodle, lo mein, and quite several other entrees had only one or two servings left, not even enough to cover a corner of the half-size warmer pan.
Choice of ice cream, green tea and ginger, was reduced to only green tea, and I took the last two lonely coconut clusters.
The fresh fruit tray was sparsely strewn with less than ten pieces of cantaloupe and honey-dew melons, which I willingly declined.
The change for the worse in an eatery that we were able to count on for years is just plain sad.
Nothing stays the...
