Fuddruckers — Restaurant in Reading

While we loved our food, we had an issue with my order. On my receipt they charged me for two milkshakes and a salad. While i did but both those items i didnt actually receive them. A common occurrence of an order mess up. So my dad called fuddruckers and a woman answered the phone. He explained our situation and asked for either a refund or for them to send us the missing items. The annoying lady then went on about how they cant do that because we ordered through DoorDash and we must call with them. This would make sense if we ordered from DoorDash, which we didn’t. We Didn’t even open the DoorDash app, we ordered straight from the website of Fuddruckers. The lady and my dad went back and forth for the next 15 minutes, my dad pleading her to just send the missing items free of charge and the lady claiming we have to take it up with DoorDash. Which still makes no sense because why would she want us to call DoorDash who seemingly had nothing to do with our order? Well actually, when you order fuddruckers from the website, fuddruckers will put tour order in DoorDash to your address. A really bad system that could possibly be used by many other companies. Finally, after hanging up the phone with the stupid lady (her names Nicole by the way), we called up DoorDash and got a refund for the missing items and a $20 bonus. But the mismanagement from Fuddruckers ruined my dads good mood for the night and just left us all frustrated. We’ve been through order mess up’s, but companies are usually great about instantly refunding or sending your missing items free of charge. But never have we seen someone flat out refuse to do either. To be fair, that salad was for my sick mom, which might have influenced how my dad had yelled at her. Fuddruckers. Ohh Fuddruckers. A place that changed my life forever. Let me start by saying, Fuddruckers is not just a restaurant, it’s an experience. My first impression was just another burger shake and fries place, but oh boy let me tell you I was wrong. Upon entering the beautiful establishment all I could see was smiling customers everywhere. It was my time to order, I stepped up and asked for the number two. Unlike other places they asked me how I would like my burger cooked. After completing my order I received a pager and a milkshake sign with a number on it. After only a few minutes the pager buzzed and my food was ready. I grabbed my food and made my way over to the self service toppings and sauce station. This was possibly my favorite part about this magnificent establishment. The sheer idea for such an amazing innovation like this alone is enough to make this place your burger spot. I truly had it may way. when I was done decorating my burger and fries with all the delicious, fresh toppings, I come back to my shake being on the table beside the comfortable sofa where my friend and I were about to indulge this authentic cuisine. The burger was immaculate, the fries spectacular. And the shake, which you even get the extra in another cup, magnificent. Fuddruckers..I love you. My life, is...

We were super excited for Fuddruckers to be open again, unfortunately, once we got there we were a bit disappointed.

The precautions they were taking for covid-19 were ok - certainly not the worst I've seen. The seating was iffy and there wasn't really any information regarding what to do so we just figured it out on our own. Also, the available seating was interesting. All the bar style seats were closed so we ended up sitting at a teeny table on sofa chairs haha!

The food was ok. Because of covid, the toppings bar was closed so you had to ask for things like onions, lettuce, tomato when you ordered and condiments when you picked up your order. The employees seemed a little dismissive and inattentive to requests especially since you have to request EVERYTHING including napkins with this setup. Honestly, the best part of my meal was the onion rings. The burger was bland and overcooked. My husband's chicken was also bland and he said the cheese sauce didn't have the kick it usually does. He said the best part of his meal was his fries and the shakes were also delicious. We got coffee Oreo mix and there were huge Oreo pieces in it. So we really enjoyed our sides more than the burgers which is sad at a notable...
