Been walking down to professors market fairly often since I moved to Reading. The first thing that you notice when you walk in is that the place is clean- like extremely clean. The owner does his best to greet customers as they come in and it didn’t take long for them to remember my regular order. I prefer the chunky monkey smoothie with espresso but I’ve tried other smoothies on the menu and they are all delicious. Just tried the Porky breakfast sandwich for the first time. 100% worth the money- delicious and very filling. They have a good selection of take-home foods, including gluten-free pastas. If you’re debating whether or not to stop in, take it from me - professors market is always worth a stop.

I recently found this place and discovered they have the best egg and cheese sandwiches around. Today when I saw they are on Grubhub I got way too excited and decided to try one of their paninis. All I can say is WOW! I got the chicken, mozzarella, and pesto panini (I can’t remember the exact name) and it’s stuffed with chicken. It’s delicious! The staff also accommodated me by allowing me to order something that wasn’t on their Grubhub menu—the mac n cheese. Everytime I go in there I debate getting it, so I can’t wait to try it! Thank you for going above and beyond!

Meh. Ordered a traditional panini (grilled chicken, Avocado, bacon, mayo.) Positives first: chicken is tender and tastes good, good bacon. Bad: bread is not toasted or crispy whatsoever, only slightly warmed (not a panini), theres like 2 pieces of avocado in the whole thing and the rest is overwhelmed with chicken. The worst part? HOLY MAYO. Im not sure if its a personal preference but in my opinion this is an ungodly amout of mayo in one sandwich. It was OOZING out. Ruined the whole thing for me. Not a fan of overpriced mediocre food sorry.

Where do I begin? This was the best experience I’ve ever had with a caterer. ā€œFrankā€ at Professors Market took such great care of us! It was a very special occasion- a retirement party for our father with over 100 guests. Naturally, I was nervous because I wanted everything to be perfect. Frank was amazing. He met with us several weeks before the party to give us suggestions and even samples of some of the food. He was kind and professional and knowledgeable… We knew immediately we were in good hands. Over the next few weeks, he was available whenever we had a question or wanted to add something to the order. On the day of the party, he had several of his workers show up in a truck with all of the food. They were organized and on time. The food was unbelievable. All of our guests kept asking where we got it and I said, ā€œProfessor’s Marketā€ in Reading Ma!! Frank went above and beyond and made the party a huge success! We are so grateful and would recommend anyone who’s holding a party to contact Frank. Or just stop by the deli in Reading and have dinner right there. The food and service...

Starving, I was starving! Stopped in to this little deli as it was the first thing I saw as my blood sugar was fading fast. Cute little place, counter facing the street. 6-8 stools. I was welcomed when I walked in and greeted with an awesome smile. I picked my order, which he repeated to be sure he got it right. 😊 I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich with LT and mayo on a ciabatta. The chicken was grilled to perfection. It was the perfect temperature for my sandwich. Nothing worse than cold chicken on my sandwich. The tomatoes were good, for being out of season, shredded lettuce, another favorite of mine! The ciabatta was perfect. Had a nice snap to it and very flavorful. I’ll definitely be back here again when I travel in from Beverly. As a side note, they must be doing something right with smoothies as well. Had three people come in and order some kind of PBJ smoothie. So obviously they have a little something for everyone! Please please support this place. Small business needs...

I work within walking distance of the place and only recently discovered it. Very friendly staff, fantastic sandwiches (the chicken Pugliese is amazing and it's what I get 95% of the time). For a small looking sandwich it's very filling, so I often times give half away. They also offer pre-made items that I often grab as appetizers at home, soup sometimes and even chicken, steak and veggies. Oh, and they have desserts, so I'll grab carrot cake, choc cake, brownie/fudge/caramel, etc. It's not uncommon for me to come home with a large bag filled when I just went for a sandwich at lunch. Lately this is where I go most of the time when I don't bring in my own lunch. Oh, and you can order online to...
