BE WEARY OF BUYING LOOSE POKEMON BOOSTERS FROM THIS STORE

Thought I'd give these guy a try for their 50% off store. Thought to myself, how can these guys even break even by selling their pokemon TCG products at 50%? Got 26 boosters today at $2 each.

As we all know, loose booster can be weighed by owners to pull the EX cards to sell on the side as singles to make more money. You can expect 1:3 ratio or better for Holographics or better, always per The Pokemon Company.

First things first, in hindsight, it was very odd that these loose boosters were not container in their display box. I went with them anyways as I am a youtuber and can document honest/dishonest collectible stores. Hopefully this can prevent people from getting ripped off in the future.

I just filmed 3 videos going through these boosters from this store and I came up with a pull ratio of 1:4, way off of what is guaranteed by the pokemon company. Anyone that is a serious collector will attest to this.

This means 2 things: they let their customers weigh their booster, or they weigh their boosters. Both are terrible practices that rip off kids and their parents, who literally don't know what's going on. Eitherway, I'd advise you not to shop here for pokemon...

Been taking my kids here since my oldest was old enough to love action figures! So that puts us at 2008 or so. I went on to have 3 more kids(3 boys and a girl in total) and heading to “the Comic Store” has always been a huge deal in my house! They’ve been into everything from Batman, to Legos, and whatever catches their eye on any given visit. One of our favorite things has always been the loose bins where there’s hundreds of guys to pick thru that are literally like a buck or sometimes they’ll even throw us a free guy we’ve picked out depending on else we’ve brought up to checkout! This is one of those places that if you’ve never been there, you walk in for the 1st time and immediately you can’t help but think to yourself “OMG…I hope this place never goes out of business!!!” It’s definitely a one of a kind. I left one star off only because im not a huge fan of the trading process. I understand, they’re there to make money, but anytime I’ve traded stuff in (for store cred) I’ve felt like I was a little bit beat. Oh well. The serious comic store for serious collectors.

Comically Speaking is a rare gem. This is a place you go when you are trying to find that one hard to find book or collectible that so many trips to shows or other shops have failed you. Or when you're looking to simply fill in some broad gaps as you browse. Or when you're bored and you just feel like taking it all in.

The staff there is extremely friendly and exceptionally helpful. If there's something you are specifically looking for and can't put your hands on, ask a staff member and the odds are pretty good they'll be able to find it for you.

If there's a single drawback it is that the prices are closer to market than book. This means that you may find a rare or hard to find book that you've been searching for for ages there, but it may be more than you were expecting. Please understand that this isn't greed. Rare and key issues can and do fetch a premium mostly because of the difficulty of obtaining them and the demand for the same.

At any rate, this shop is highly recommended. You may not get the yard sale prices you may have been hoping for, but instead you'll actually get what you were...
