Amy’s Bistro — Restaurant in Readington Township

Amy’s is open! Readington/Whitehouse Station really needs any and all willing to bring their culinary skills to town. The enthusiasm is welcome. We tried two burgers (Cajun and Jack), a large Margarita pizza and the House Calamari and a piece of Tres Leches cake. All were delicious, fresh and hot. Cute and pleasant bistro with attentive wait staff and great food. The prices are moderate and the recipes, while Italian, have little touches of uniqueness. To be recommended is the endive salad with balsamic vinegarette dressing. Many entrees are available with veggies instead of pasta (no up charge) and they are so perfectly cooked, you’d think they were fresh from the garden! The bread was also exquisite. And my entree - chicken in a cream sauce and mushrooms was a melt in your mouth...

This place has 7 months since they opened. Very good food and great service. The prices are also very reasonable. Amy, the host and waiter was a 1-woman team but managed our large party of nine efficiently. Also BYOB, and they let us bring our cake and enjoy it for my brother’s birthday.

This place is family owned. Carlos, the owner, is very friendly and his daughter, Amy attentive to the patrons.
