Whitehouse General Store — Restaurant in Readington Township

Walked in at 12:02 for two simple grilled cheese sandwiches, changed to take out after waiting 20+ minutes so i wouldn’t be late getting back to work. Meanwhile I’m watching multiple other people walk who arrived after me getting their lunch. Finally after patiently waiting 40 min, I pay for two sandwiches, get back to work now late to find out i only got one in the bag. Woman behind the register is lost in space and the cook looks like he’s asleep...

If I walk into a place, no one says hello. A cook comes from around the counter and walks past me to go outside and the comes back past me to go around to the grill and says nothing. I get my order ready and stand at the counter for 2-3 minutes looking at the cooks......no one takes my order, or says anything to me. Two of them look at me and whisper to each other but no one comes over. I leave. What am I...

I don’t understand the 4.3/5 rating. These people are so friendly and the food was delicious. We went for late breakfast at about 1115 only to find out breakfast ends at 11.
