Atmosphere is really great- a gem in this area, relaxing, mix of modern and rustic, and although it was humid when we ate there, the outdoor patio looks inviting and we might come back on a Thursday night when they have live music. Service was great- a little delay in getting our waitress's attention in the beginning but she was pleasant and helpful once she got going. The hostess held the door open for us when we left, which was a great way to end the meal and make us want to come again. The food was a mix, to be quite honest. Their drink selection and mixed drinks (including NA drinks) are a great variety and tasty! Great on tap beer selection as well. The shrimp tacos were delicious and seasoned really well. The kid's pasta was delicious but a huge portion... I wish it was slightly cheaper, and a lot smaller. The kid's meal size would be perfect for a 12 year old, but could be shared by two 6-year-olds. The burgers, while described with tasty and inviting terms, unfortunately fell extremely short of price and expectations at an American- style restaurant. Three of us ordered burgers cooked "medium," but we received 100% well-done burgers. They were all dry and not flavorful. 2 had just a piece of bacon and some cheese. No lettuce or tomatoes, or onions or anything else. The fries were ok but below average for freshly cooked fries, if that's what they were. There is a "dive" restaurant down the road, with a number as part of its name, that if Kitchen American Grill learned their technique of cooking burgers (their medium is truly medium), would probably have moist, delicious burgers flying off the griddle every night. Looking around at whatever others' ordered, I didn't see any other burgers. So in a nutshell, we'll be back! But not for...
Read moreI randomly stopped off for lunch after a business meeting and saw the first anniversary sign. I had no information or expectations going in. From the outside I was expecting something rustic and I was just looking for a quick bite. Inside looks far more refined. It is definitely small, but is very modern and contemporary in styling. I was greeted promptly and being alone chose to sit at the bar. Though upon first glance it looks to be more of a wine bar, I couldn't help but notice that it has a limited but excellent beer selection. The beers leaned heavily toward excellent craft beers like Founders and Maine, and on very local breweries. I wish I had found this place after work hours or on the weekend! I didn't ask to look at a wine menu, but I am willing to bet that the wine selection is just as well curated. The staff was very friendly and helpful. To the point of making a new customer feel like a regular. I ordered the Farmhouse burger and it came out within five minutes. Not only that but it was probably the best burger I have had in years! It was cooked perfectly. Juicy and super tender, but not overly greasy. The flavor was was akin to a steakhouse steak not a burger. The mushrooms were flavorful. And even the Swiss cheese stood out. The fries were excellent too. I was almost shocked at how good the food was. I know that I was there when it was slow between a lunch and dinner rush, but if they can deliver this as a consistent experience the line should be out the door and order the corner. Highly...

I could not stop complimenting the color combinations in layout, choice of decor, and simplicity when it came to presentation. Not saying complex dishes are intolerable, but its been a while to see a difference as far as my journey goes. Can be different for someone else. I shared to my sister that I kept getting a relaxing high-grade 'Peter Pan' idea whenever I looked at the chairs. I absolutely loved it. The food? Oh, just yes. I kicked myself for not trying a drink or two because I've heard they're good, but I had both the adult grilled cheese and signature Burger. I can say full heartedly, I am not a Burger person. This Burger had me going for MORE. The grade used? Yes. Their fries? The best I've ever had. If I could, I'd order those with every fry/chip complimentary meal for the rest of days. The grilled cheese and soup to dunk? I am a soup fiend and oOF. I was obsessed with the red pepper goodness. The Texas toast? I wasn't fighting to sink my teeth into it; both crunchy yet fluffy awesomeness. One of my favorite cheeses being gruyere only made this better. Nothing was overdone. You were looking for those flavors? They were there. No question. Would I come back? Yes. I would. The staff had been pleasant in every way and that alone made the experience more...
