Uncle Leo’s & Rosny Cafe In Georgetown — Restaurant in Redding

I have been looking for a good jelly donut ever since the bakery closed in my town about 20 years ago. I finally found it! I met Leo in Roxbury at a local event where they were supplying the donuts for a fundraiser. Wow, these are the best donuts I have ever had. His Jelly and Boston Cream are simply the best! Not too mention his other very creative ones like the Bacon Maple Glazed donut. I liked them so much I decided to use Uncle Leo's for my own fundraiser for my daughters soccer team. Compass Real Estate and the Chad Collesian Sales Team had a great Donut Fundraiser at the Mahopac Street Fair and Uncle Leo really came through for us. Supplying us with 30 dozen delicious donuts and helping make the event a great success! Thanks Leo and your great staff. BTW your bacon, egg and cheese was delicious too. My dad and I have been going to Uncle Leo’s for years and have never had an issue with the service or the food. I just went with my sister and they had young teens working there that had terrible attitudes and could not pay attention at all to even be able to take an order (one girl and one boy). The girl was constantly playing with her hair around the food and the boy was only paying attention to her (I had to repeat what I wanted 3 times and we still didn’t get what we ordered). I had put 2 hashbrowns on 1 sandwich and 1 on another (the hashbrowns are almost $2 each), we didn’t open them there because we have never had to do so before, my sister got none on her sandwich and the other one had a mix of 1 hashbrown and home fries. Just picked up my breakfast sandwich (everything bagel with eggs and avocado) and it is satisfying, especially after a workout. I usually hit Uncle Leo’s at 6 am and they are open and ready! The Wilton and BEC on a toasted croissant are our other favorites. They will also customize a sandwich for you. I also picked up a chocolate croissant.
