This place is a little gem in the Loma Linda- Redlands area. They are primarily a roastry and a barista training location for local businesses (already a good sign) so the cafe itself is quite small. While this place may not be the best for studying or hanging out for a long time, the beans itself, the espresso shot and the milk foam are all superb. You can tell that these folks know what they are doing. The intimate size of the space allows the customer to chat with the barista while they are making your drink. The lady who made my drink was knowledgeable and enjoyable to talk too. I went to their free cupping (coffee tasting) which is offered every Friday at 1. It was so informative and it was awesome to talk to the head roaster about the ins and outs of their beans. No question was stupid to him. Another perk of this place is that their prices are so great! They only charge .25 cents for oat milk and they cappys are in the 3 dollar range! So happy I discovered this place. My only suggestion is that it would be nice if they were open one day of the weekend. I get that those are good opportunities to do barista training (which I did state is a main focus of their business model) but it would be great for those of us (like my husband) who...
Read moreI really want to like this place and support small businesses in my hometown of Redlands. I’ve tried coming here twice and ordered the same thing both times, an iced vanilla latte with oat milk; once maybe three years ago and then again today. It had been so long in between visits because the first time I came, my espresso was shocked, or sour in taste. Then today I decided to give it another chance, but the same thing happened. The espresso inside the latte is super sour tasting. At first I thought it was because they poured the espresso over the ice, which sometimes shocks the espresso and gives it the sour taste. So I had them remake it and put the ice in last, and the same thing happened. It’s really a shame because like I said, I only try and support local coffee shops versus chains like Starbucks. The sour taste is not how their coffee is roasted, but rather must be some kind of problem with how they pull their shots. And obviously it’s been this way for years if I came three years later, and it still tastes sour! All of the workers are nice, and the inside is cute, and I love their branding, but their coffee is not...
Read moreDam ! Boy let me tell you.... you better come ready. This "aint" no Starbucks. The place has a good esthetic. A very knowledgeable roaster prepared our coffee. We went for the seasonal drinks. Each had its own distinctive palatable taste, definitely no overlapping in the flavors. The useof bitters in our drinks is something you really don't see in coffee shops. Reminded me of the old days when we would go to the bars in downtown Redlands. Really cool to watch the roaster prep our drinks with a shaker. Gave me the feel that maybe she worked at a bar before working here. The measurement of the ingredients were on point ! They have some really nice merch too.
Their coffee concoctions are no joke...
