This quiet little spot is a fun new option in Redlands! My wife and I visited for lunch and were the only ones in the restaurant. The service was prompt and helpful!

The spot took over the old Mill Creek BBQ space and they've attempted to update the decor to match. The remnants of Mill Creek are still evident, but the hanging umbrellas are a nice touch and feel like it ties the space into downtown Redlands.

My wife and I were most excited by the Burmese food options, which seem to be tougher to find in the area.

We tried the Mohinga soup, the Samosas (Burmese Samosas are different than Indian Samosas), 2 of the 'sticky rice' dessert options, a Falooda (a dessert beverage) and a Crab Meat Poke bowl.

All the food was tasty, and it was really fun trying some traditional Burmese food.

The Mohinga soup, with fish, tempura, and noodles was rich and full of flavor. The noodles seemed a touch over-cooked, but the dish was tasty.

The Samosas were unique, wherein the potato inside was cubed (instead of a mashed consistency like Indian Samosas). The Samosas themselves were a bit bland, but the dipping sauce was very tasty. Additionally the Samosas seemed extra oily.

The Crab Meat Poke bowl was tasty and simple.

The Falooda was fun to try, and reminded me of a Filipino Halo-Halo beverage. The beverage came in a fun glass and was beautiful to look at, but was quite small considering the price, and that most of it consisted of ice.

The Sticky Rice options (Black Sticky Rice & Mango Sticky Rice) were tasty as well. I wished they had more of the coconut/sweet milk, but the texture was good. The Mango was a bit underripe, but still a nice combination with the rice.

The one downside was the servings were frustratingly small, especially for the cost of the food. What we did get (aside from the Samosas) was quite delicious and delivered to the table hot.

The only other quirk about this spot is the home-made tables. While the table-tops are nice, they have 4, very thick legs at each corner of the table which make it hard to sit on the edges of the booths (see photos). A center post table would work much better for them.

The menu is extensive, and the environment is welcoming. This seems to be a family restaurant, and they genuinely care about your experience. While I wish there was a bit more value for the food ordered, all in all we will likely be back to give this restaurant more business. This is definitely a worthwhile local...

It's been a while since I've been to a place that left me disappointed. We stopped here on a whim, since it's the location of the old BBQ place. First concern was nobody was there during dinner time, it was just us. And that's how it stayed during the entire visit.

The place itself was a bit of a head scratcher, as if it couldn't figure out what it wanted to be/represent as a restaurant. The decor was uniform gold/black like something from a 70s restaurant. The food was all over the place for selection (Chinese, Japanese, and some other stuff we couldn't figure out). The Mrs had told me to not trust a sushi place with no outward facing bar. I should have listened.

I have to agree with the previous mentions of 1 star for sushi as I looked at it and had to wonder if it was 3d printed or something of lower quality, as it didn't look right. I say this for the salmon nigiri as the rest of what I ordered was a combo set of rolls and they were covered with stuff. The texture/quality of the sushi I ordered could have been bought at Stater Bros or other grocery store and gotten same/better quality sushi for about the same price.

The remainder of the food was also lacking and was bland (Kung Pao, pork fried rice, pork dumplings).

The service was strange too as we never really saw our host until we went to the counter needing more drinks, etc. Speaking of drinks, none of them had ice, this being water and tea we ordered. After going back again to the counter to pay, they dropped off the payment kiosk/pda, we paid, and pretty much stepped on out.

I hate to give these kinds of reviews, but given all the 5 star ratings I see posted here, I can't help but question those raters levels of quality and what they...

My son and I had the best experience at this restaurant! The staff was so helpful. We weren't sure what to get on the menu, but were looking for certain things. We ordered an eel roll with rice and cucumber and a salmon roll with rice for my son who's 11 yrs old. They were able to give us exactly what we wanted. The sushi was so fresh. The seaweed was easily chewed (which has been an issue with past sushi restaurants). Some of the best sushi we have had.

They recommended a great salad (tea leaf salad - tasted great), and their proportions are very generous for everything we ordered including the miso soup. They made my son this really pretty layered ice cream with Jell-O at the bottom, vanilla ice cream, and cherry juice, he really enjoyed drinking it like a milkshake.

We spent $44 on 2 sushi rolls, a full meal proportioned soup and salad, a mint, cucumber, and lime slush, and a large layered ice cream.

The waiter was very thoughtful, attentive, and kind, and my son even observed how careful he was with everything he did. All around a great experience. The food came out very quick.

It looks like a take out joint when you walk in, but they actually have very nice booths and high quality tables as well as really pretty decorations on the...

Super overpriced, took forever even though it’s a “drive thru” and I was the only customer there. (Should’ve been a hint). Since I was driving I ordered 2 hand rolls. Total was THIRTY DOLLARS. I was hoping I missed something since I’ve been wanting to try this place. Turns out each handroll order comes with two. That’s much better, but as soon as I open it up, I was disappointed. Salmon was discolored and looked half cooked or like it had been left out. Lettuce was wilted, avocado was CRUNCHY, and cucumber was limp and chewy. Rice was decent I guess. California hand roll was one stick of crab… not crab salad. A stick. Of crab. Also, it’s a drive thru. Give me some napkins and condiments maybe? I’m not a complaint or refunds person at a restaurant but damn do I wish I hadn’t wasted $30 on some of the worst fish and I’ve ever had in my life. Been trying to convince my wife to come here. Glad I didn’t, she’s less patient than me.

A new jewel of a restaurant. We came inside thinking it was similar to a fast food restaurant but we were pleasantly surprised to find a nice sit down location. My daughter loves sushi so usually I end up getting a tempura dish but happily there were many items to pick from. My daughter chose her favorite California roll and I had the beef fried rice. It was loaded with crispy bites of carrot, peas, celery and onion which we not only shared but had some to take home. After complementing our chef we were surprised with a serving of Tea leaf salad and hot jasmine tea. Our hostess explained that this is usually eaten as an appetizer with the tea. The tea leaf salad has a punch of flavor and the sweet tea helps smooth the palate. I liked the crunchiness of the salad. I would give this a 100% happy dance in my chair.! Add to that they have a drive through for a quick 🛻 pickup.
