The food is typical Farmer Boys quality. Good to excellent for what's on the menu. The service has not been great the last few times I've come to this location. Food sits up under the lamps for too long, with crew members walking by it and ignoring it. Tonight, I had the tuna melt, which was excellent, and a side salad instead of fries. I watched the chef place my salad and sandwich under the heat lamps, and watched for close to 8 minutes as at least 4 crew members continually walked by it and ignored it. The female crew member who took my order was chatting with a customer at the register when the chef rang the bell for my order up, and I heard her acknowledge it. She and another crew member then promptly disappeared, presumably to go on break, while my food, salad included, remained under the lamps for another 5 minutes. Finally I had to get up and interrupt the friendly conversation the other crewmember was having with another guest at the register to call his attention to the fact that my order had been up for some time, and that my cold salad was likely now hot. (It was). The attitude seems to be indifference. Won't be back. I expect a little better service than that for a $14 sandwich. These kids need to do a much better job and ensuring that orders are delivered to the tables when they are called out by the cooks and ready to go. Right now, they are doing a pretty terrible job at this. It's not busy, no excuses. They just don't understand priorities in food service. Lesson number one: Friendly banter with customers is secondary to delivering food...
Read moreOk place to get an overpriced breakfast. It's a busy place that time of the morning. I got a ham and cheese omelet with hashbrowns and toast. My friend got the chicken gravy bowl. After waiting quite a while after ordering, the bowl was brought to the table. I waited another 10 minutes for the omelet to arrive. The bowl consisted of cut up chicken tenders on top of a HUGE serving of grated hashbrowns.
After more than a year in self-imposed isolation, after working in Loma Linda, I decided to stop in and try the chicken sandwich they had been advertising. Late Sunday afternoon was a slow time and there wasn't anyone in line when I arrived. I ordered the combo with iced tea. After a few minutes, my order was ready and I sat down inside to eat. Social distancing was in effect but there was plenty of empty tables. The chicken sandwich was OK. Just OK but nothing like Popeyes' sandwich. It was a thin pressed patty inside a flat smashed bun. Since I hadn't had anything to eat all day, it was semi-filling. However, the fries were outstanding - light in color with crispy edges and a generous portion. The iced tea was wet and not very tasty. Bottom line: I'll probably only go back if I can't figure out another place to grab a bite. Popeyes has the chicken sandwich...
Read moreI pull up to the drive through at 0623 and receive no acknowledgment. I check my phone to make sure the place opened at 0600. I speak up, "Hello?!" to which I'm told "One minute please." More waiting. No greeting or apology, just "Go ahead and order when you're ready. I do, and ask if they can substitute the Swiss for a different cheese and she says sure. I pull forward and pay. Surprise, the receipt shows they charged $0.50 to put one type of cheese on the burger instead of a different type of cheese. To add cheese when there would be no cheese, sure, but to simply use a different type of cheese? That's ridiculous and is the type of thing the customer should be informed of in advance; ask if that would be okay. I would have kept it Swiss. Okay, fine. About 12 minutes later, I finally get my food. No "I'm sorry for the wait" or anything of the sort. The guy in the truck behind me has practically fallen asleep waiting with his engine off. All said and done, about 20 minutes to get my food in the drive through with no one ahead of me. 20+ minutes after opening and they weren't ready to do business. I will not be going back to this location. I only give 2 stars because of it being Farmer Boys food which still...
