Bamboo Thai Bistro — Restaurant in Redondo Beach

I’ve always loved coming here and never had an issue until today. I called to place an order, but the background noise was so loud it was nearly impossible to hear. Instead of acknowledging that, the staff blamed me and said they couldn’t hear me.

When I called back, a woman answered and was doing a great job taking my order, but again the loud background talking made it difficult. She kept saying “you’re breaking up,” when really it was the noise on their end. I was almost finished placing my order for the glass noodle soup (shrimp only, no chicken, with a lemongrass broth), when the man I spoke to earlier suddenly got back on the line. He was rude, condescending, and again told me he couldn’t hear me. At that point I just said to cancel my order, and he hung up on me.

Very disappointing experience from a place I used to enjoy.

I am a first time customer at this restaurant, I ordered crispy pork with chinese broccoli and i love to eat it with vinegar with jalapeno, the shorter lady server gave me some already, and when i finished it all, i went to the register and asked the other lady server so she doesn’t have to come to our table, i went to the register myself so she can just hand it over to me, and she gave me a shitty attitude like i was bothering her and she started talking shit with her co worker coz she was speaking her language, SHE’S RUDE!!!!!! , I work at the restaurant as well and I never treated customer like what she did, she shouldn’t be working there at all. By the way the crispy pork with chinese broccoli is too salty!

I SUGGEST YOU GUYS TO TRY OTHER THAI RESTAURANTS WHO GIVES REALLY GOOD SERVICE THAT...

Bamboo Thai Bistro has become my go-to for Thai so much so that I ate here three times in the past 18 days but they've been around for many years. I've done delivery, take-out and I've dined in many times. No complaints about the service although last night they did get my order wrong. I ordered the Pineapple curry and they gave me the Pumpkin curry instead. They tried to correct it but it was so delicious that it was a blessing.

It's a decent place for kids because they have booster seats and high chairs. My daughter likes anything noodles. As for food, we've had the drunken noodles, pad see ew, the wonton soup, Tom Kah, spare ribs, spinach with peanut sauce and many curries. I look forward to trying the...
