The Baseline: For a seafood fast casual restaurant the fish/seafood needs to be fresh, the presentation of the food should be comforting and respect the delicacy of the seafood, and there must be a selection of accompanying offerings.
October 2025 Review; Food: The joy of tonight was late Happy Hour (HH) that goes from 8:30PM to close and the 3 petite lobster tails for $40. Lobster Guys is quickly becoming my go to lobster and beer joint. So Connecticut Lobster roll ($21), spicy Cajun shrimp roll ($14 HH), Calamari Fries ($8 HH), Coconut Shrimp ($6.50 HH), Three Lobster tails ($40), Margaritas, and a Firestone Blood Orange Beer. Yeah it was all good but I would skip on the Calamari and coconut shrimp as it is just deep fried seafood. Spend the extra on the good items that you want to eat anyway.
Service: Order at the counter and get delivered to your table. It was a little busy and I think they were short staffed but they were all efficient.
Ambiance: Lobster Guys is fun frills and down to earth entertaining restaurant / bar. They stick to things they know they do well.
September 2025 review: Food: Taco Tuesday is a great day to come visit Lobster Guys! Had 3 tacos and sweet potato waffle fries. Tacos were lobster, Mahi-Mahi, and Carnitas and they were all tasty-fresh-filling! I had a California Cream Ale that was a nice beer to go with the tacos.
Service: Great Service on my visit here. The business really does strive to provide a great experience.
Ambiance: Restaurant / Bar feel with a bunch of 80’s music and videos playing. Great fun feel for a Tuesday.
Previous June 2025 review: Food: You come here, as the name says, for the Lobster Rolls. The lobster roll has a good meat ratio to fill the roll, the bread is soft and well toasted. The fries are good to fine but I am a fry snob so my bar is higher on that particular dish. I had the fish and chips this visit and the fish was well breaded, delicate, and cooked through, only critique I wanted the breading to be crispier than it was. Clam chowder and grilled cheese was a nice solid staple which hit the spot.
Service: This is a walk up and order and then get it delivered to your table type of service restaurant. No problems with service and the staff gave great suggestions. I was even offered two different beer tasting when selecting by beer. Rey happy with the service.
Ambiance: Restaurant / Bar type of restaurant with sports on the televisions. The decor matches the food offerings and the vibe is a bar setting. Bathroom was clean enough though is was very dive bar-esque (served its purpose).
I like the feel of this restaurant and the...
Read moreVisiting from out of state and stopped by here on some local recommendations. Usually a cheapskate trying to find cheap mom and pop eats but wanted to check this new spot that recently opened as a mid workday treat.
Service: Very quickly welcomed by a really friendly and helpful server/bartender. They just had a lunch rush finish up and they were quick to clean and turn the tables.
Food: I got the Connecticut lobster roll and it was very good! The bread was perfectly crusty Texas toast style on the outside and soft on the inside. There was a good amount of lobster in the roll which I am always skeptical of when going to a seafood joint. Very well balanced so you could taste the lobster and appreciate the rest of the minimal accompanying ingredients. I am used to overuse of mayo in other rolls but they were intentional with the ratios here. Loved the fresh flavor of the side of arugula. Coconut shrimp was good as well, only so much to say about deep fried shrimp.
Drink: I don’t think they have a liquor license because their margaritas are made with an agave wine but I wanted to give it a try anyway. I normally am not a big fan of Agave but this drink was really tasty and would order it again!
Vibe: This place is a busily decorated cross between a surf shack and sports bar man cave. It’s a cool little spot. Super clean and well put together. People I saw popped in and out but I imagine this is a spot they would welcome you to hangout in to slowly enjoy a couple drinks. I quickly noticed the outlets under the bar seating which for a regular traveler and remote worker like me, this is awesome. I can get a couple emails done while easing into the end of the work day with a tasty roll and drinks.
They have a happy hour Monday-Friday with selection of menus items and drinks. Items seem to be discounted around a $1-1.5 compared to the normal menu but if you are a regular here it would add up. Very nice that the happy hour also extends to the end of the night (8:30-close)
Props to the owner, looking forward to coming back here on my regular visits to Los Angeles and the South Bay!

Read moreWent here for my 55th birthday, craving some lobster. It was the wrong decision. The tables were “taken” by others, claiming more folks were coming, and the rest were dirty. It was hot outside and warm inside. The waiter/server/cashier was way understaffed, albeit charming. He did his best, and when the food orders went wrong, he explained, they were out of chicken, had a new chef learning the orders, etc., but he would give us the failing meals for free. (The salad was served after 30 minutes, and then the Lobster tacos after another 10) My meal didn't come for another 20 minutes, and my son's the last 15 minutes after mine.) The 'on the house' didn’t pan out. The chicken salad with no chicken and overly sweet balsamic vinaigrette was not free or taken off the menu. My “not lettuce wrapped” roll was simply lobster on some arugula with a lemon wedge- no mayo, no sauce, was also not on the house as stated. My husband’s lobster tacos had no flavor and were the size of a small appetizer. My son was the only one who enjoyed his lobster roll on a brioche bun, his first ever. I did get a free beer, but never the “free shot” offered at the start of the order. No sweat, didn't need it, but it was a nice gesture as it was offered because it was my birthday. I paid the140$ bill, and came home to cook for those of us left hungry. Such a disappointment and so expensive. At that rate, they can hire help for the waiter/server/cashier and support for...
