Fantastic food messed up by the service. Things happen, especially during busy times which we happened to be part of but here my impression was that not listening well is made to be my fault. Price was fine but one plate was missing. When trying to tell that something was not correct with our order it was hard getting attention. Beside of that the food was fantastic, however with the overall experience we couldn't enjoy it as much. We recommend to give out receipts to customers - that could help avoiding mistakes. Also make sure to bring cash as here it is cash only. Please "LIKE" if this review was helpful for you.

I walked in asked what's in the taco salad. The two ladies said chicken I said that's nice. They said it would be $11 something which is not what is said on the menu so I asked what's up with the price? They said extra for meat. At this point there are other people behind me in line so I just ask for a regular chicken burrito, big mistake. What came to me was a reasonably sized burrito wrapped in a uncooked flour tortillas filled with what looked like Spanish rice, chicken, and refried pinto beans not very tasty but a generous helping of ok chicken.

I happened upon the taqueria after a hike at Edgewood. I was pleasantly surprised by the colorful authentic art Dia de los Muertos all year round. I am told this is the original I have been to Sancho's in Palo Alto, but I prefer the ambience and hospitality here. In addition the salsa selections are delicious and my carnitas burritos with black beans was flavorful. Cash only.

Walked in...was actually excited to eat here as it looked good and they served coke (always a plus for me). I ordered a regular burrito with less items than came with it. After getting cash out of the ATM because they only take cash, i was thinking to myself "what did i order for 13+ dollars? A burrito and a coke..." i looked at the receipt and discovered i was being charged extra for my burrito. The guy rung up my order wrong. By this time my burrito was ready. I told the guy the mistake. He said that's how much it costs. I said but i ordered less than what comes in the burrito. He repeated himself...mind you he spoke perfect English...at this point i got annoyed and asked for my money back. He brings the burrito back and grabs my coke cup, that i didn't fill yet and hands me back 13 buck, which was still less than i paid and said, "nothing in life is free." I took my money and said, "learn how to do business," and walked out. I should have asked for my 85 cents back, but it wasn't worth anymore of my time. It's a shame that guy works there...as they lost a customer, and i lost out on what seemed to be an enjoyable meal to come. Yet, I'll never know...oh,...

Aphids/ bugs in the salad! Ate here tonight and got a sope, you could taste the oil they fried it on and it overall was not yummy. But then I saw something crawling..then two things crawling, then a third! There were three bugs /aphids in the salad on top. I took it to the front counter and pointed them out and the cashier gave me my money back. Then another guy came from the kitchen and tried to convince me that within a couple minutes of my food coming out that three bugs landed on it from outside. I know what aphids look like because I've had many plants. I said there's no way and they aren't flying away and waved my hands over it to prove my point than they were chowing/living on the salad and didn't just land from outside. The cashier told the guy yea I saw them in the salad we need to check the salad...they needed to check the salad before serving it. It isn't uncommon to get aphids in commercially bought salad, but just gross to serve it to customers and rude to try to convince me they're just from outside instead of owning it and reassuring the customers they'll do better. We won't be...

What a horrible place. I'll never make the mistake of walking into this place. First of all, the counter service isn't helpful at all, there is no ambiance to make you want to dine inside, and if you've never been here, good luck, you're on your own. We came for the fish tacos and we ordered the fish tacos. They were awful. Do yourself a favor and go to Rubio's in Menlo Park if you want to experience a real Mexican fish taco. And did I mention it comes with beans and chips? A two taco meal with the beans and chips for only $7.85. Sancho's charges $4.55 for a taco and $2 for chips. Long story short, go to Rubio's if you want the real thing in the way of fish tacos. Otherwise, any other place such as Chiquita's in RWC is a far and above superior...
