Denny's — Restaurant in Reedley

My visit started out perfectly a young lady probably in her early 30s or late '20s gave me a seat smiled was interactive took my order without any complications the food was her perfectly within 12 minutes of the time of our arrival. My server's name Gayla. She was the only server in the main part of the restaurant there was also a cook in the back. I arrived very early a little bit after 6:00. At about 7:00 what appeared to be the manager and another waitress came in the mood changed instantly the manager has a sour puss face that I wouldn't want to be in front of me while I was eating she never smiled once she was unengaged never made eye contact and it's just a poor example of a public servant out there who does not know how to engage at all she simply does not get it. This is sad since the original contact was so good I'm not going to let that destroy this review but this company needs to take a hard look at who they have in management. You can't be a leader of people and be negative like that. Frown face ational with the employee who was actually very pleasant and very nice and very serving. Restaurants are service industry if the service isn't good because of the interaction with whoever you're facing at that moment you can destroy the whole experience. Whoever this manager is should be canceled if not terminated. The other waitress also has a sourpuss face she did not count my change back appropriately she just kind of watted it up and handed it to me. This made me angry enough to walk over and hand my waitress her tip into her little hand because they had already made her cash out her drawer from the evening or overnight shift if you prefer. If I go back I will go earlier so I don't have to see the manager or the other sour puss face waitress rude crude and socially unacceptable come to mind. My reviews are not usually harsh this one is educational for Denny's since they are fairly new in Reedley after a long hiatus from a previous failure. Used to be we had to drive all the way to Sanger to go to Denny's or you could go to dinuba and go to perko's The two choices in town that are local are both decent places to eat but I've been there a thousand times. I wanted to try something different. The new menu was a little pricey than what I'm used to. However in this economy everything it costs more hopefully we can return to some kind of normalcy but what will really have to happen is across the board wage increase to give the consumer back their purchasing power since once prices go up they never go back down. The breakfast came to a total of $23.24 it was for two eggs over easy hash browns crispy hash browns and sourdough toast with a side of gravy The root beer I ordered was almost $4 $3.79 I don't mind inflation but that's insanity needs to stop This is a game. That syrup literally cost about $0.25 to make and the CO2 of course is compressed the cups are reused so there is no expenditure there asking me to pay almost four bucks for a soda is ridiculous! I don't care what the economy is that's just highway robbery! I'm not sure if I'll go back or not but the waitress should move on since she's a positive person I will give her a referral if she needs one. What a disappointing day at Denny's...we did have a party of 13 and asked for separate tags! Her reply was each of us can separate it with the cashier when paying!!! Big problem with the cashier! But the most concerning of problems was the delivery of our food! Which sat in the window for an unaproprite amount of time! Which led to everything being cold! Someone ordered the brisk-it-all melt Which was burnt fat! All she tasted was charcoal! The fries were horrible Especially Cold! I ordered the Cobb salad and tried 3 dressings on it which didn't make it any better. The bill came out to be $269.00 and we weren't going to complain about anything until the waitress laughed at us trying to split up the bill with the cashier! To me, things weren't funny at all! Being a good waitress, means checking on your table and guests periodically to make sure things are OK! Unfortunately Denny's you dropped the ball today! And we will not be returning! My suggestion whatever the time don't Go Here! Try a taco truck! By the way $4.59 for a drink is ridiculous and done...

For those that gave Dennys in Reedley a five start is either….. you don’t know food quality, your food judgement is very poor, you don’t want your birth city to get bad reviews on one of its first food chain restaurants so far, you order one of the few meals they have where you get lots of frozen, saggy and cold fries; you were extremely hungry, not hungry enough to care to notice, you just ordered dessert.or just went to the bar part.

The bacon looks like fried gots with a touch of redness paint for the look, the food quantity is very unsatisfying and very low on the presentation of it.they runout of something, the food takes too long to come even the dessert does most of the employees are very unfriendly and not helpful enough with your questions concerning the food, I could write more but I’m on my way to Mainstreet Cafe.
