I usually have a decent, uneventful experience when I go to this McDonalds. However, today was different.
Typically, the service is quick but today everyones order took a while. There was a decent amount of patrons today but not to the point where it took about 20 mins to receive our order. Wait time at an eatery is nothing new but this was a bit too much. Had it only been this this would be a non story.
In the area where we wait to pick up our order there was a soda spill that had been there since before we ordered with no caution sign. Initially, there were people away from the spill but since the orders were taking too long the crowd starting to need more space and eventually they moved over the soda spill. The spill was easily visible to the employees from behind the counter but I suppose it was possible that none of the employees saw the spill if they were diligently paying attention to their job. However, one of the patrons, not I, notified an employee of the spill after us being there for about 15 minutes. The employee looked at the spill, seemed to acknowledge it and it appeared that he would get someone on it. About five minutes later, and the spill still not cleaned up or a sign posted, a woman wearing sandals and a ankle brace, none the less, walks over the spill and slips! It was an awkward slip! Her legs split awkwardly and she was limping and grabbing her ankle. This is when I noticed her brace. An employee saw this and finally put a sign was placed near the spill. I didn't see anyone from the company apologize or express concern for the lady who fell. She tried to walk away but was wincing and limping.
It's important to note that there was an employee who was walking around the establishment and "sweeping." But she was hardly working with vigor. She worked at a slow place. Additionally, the more pressing issues appeared to be spills. Yes, spills! There was another spill that I noticed as I walked out and she was barely getting to it.
It was a different experience today at the...
Read moreThe Reedley, CA McDonalds is continuously understaffed and unorganized. It is clear the owners do not care are about providing excellent customer service or presenting a professional establishment. I recently observed the latest GM (of India decent) treating his young staff in a rude and unprofessional manner in front of customers. When you can plainly see employees are doing the best they can do given the limited staff available. Poor scheduling and mismanagement is the real issue at this Reedley establishment. In my opinion, the GM really needs to check his personal ego at the front door. You sir are not a leader if you look back and no one is following you. It is very apparent this is a first job for many young people and most of them are afraid to speak up for fear of retaliation. Your job sir since you obviously do not seem to not understand it, is to encourage those you lead, by providing sound leadership and encouragement so they can become excellent employees. The GM clearly needs to learn the skill of building employees not tearing them down. I have witness this type of behavior from this particular GM on more than one occasion which prompted me to leave this review and comment. Five stars to the employees who have had to put with the GM's obnoxious behavior and horrible leadership. So on behalf of those this man has mistreated...Shame on you sir!!! Owners need to do a 360 review by line staff to get better understanding of what the working conditions are really like at the Reedley McDonalds if they want to grow...
Read moreMcDonald's. That name makes me hungry even now. Delicious Big Macs, Juicy fries, and great, cheery tellers at the drive-thru. The food is good, the menu offers a lot. (The new Fish McBites don't taste as good as the commercials say) They have a wonderful PlayPlace for children to run around, crawl, and slide. However, it's not very adult friendly, and while as their policy for under-5 year-olds is for parents to go with them, I don't know one adult that wouldn't get claustrophobia up there. It is still quite safe, and I had lots of fun in there as a kid. They have some downsides too, however. Their drive thru employees are quite new, as they are now hiring, and they often mess up your order. If you find out too late that your food is incorrect, you can drive around to the front of the store, and replace the wrong food item, but that takes the purpose of fast food out of the drive-thru. Their restrooms are rather disgusting, and they are almost always mopping up the floor. Overall, I like going here, but I would rather not do it...
