Willie's Cafe Reedley, Ca. — Restaurant in Reedley

On the weekdays we go and do our big shopping trips (Costco + savemart) we like to go out for breakfast. My partner chose this restaurant at random but factored in the high reviews for it. We were seated quickly, the place is small, but fits a good amount of people comfortable. The young guy serving us was attentive, polite, and very prompt when we needed refills. The bowls of soup they serve before the meal was surprising but holy heck, delicious. We got our food in a speedy fashion and it was hot. Partner ordered the chilaquiles and I the biscuits and gravy with country potatoes. We have a 2 year old and got her chicken nuggets cause she will eat off our plates as well. Everything was delicious. Including the chicken nuggets. Not many restaurants where the kid food is actually good. I love this place. And have since made it an almost once a week visit for breakfast. We have gone what feels like hundreds of times now and the food has NEVER disappointed. We all have expectations when we go out to a new restaurant as for me I am a Chef and mine might be a bit higher I loved the atmosphere the service was ok I talked to one of the employees and he told me they had a couple of call ins which I understand I get them at my place also as for the food it was very good the portions were really great I had the ribeye steak breakfast my only complaints were they seasoned the steak way to much salt and pepper leave the ribeye alone just light season and I asked for it to be medium rare and I got well done to me any steak well done is a insult you might as well serve cardboard with seasoning I’m not putting the restaurant down but as a Chef those are my thoughts and yes I will be coming back and I will let everyone know it is a good place to eat and take your family. We used to love Willie's. When they first opened in Reedley, we tried to eat there once a week. Then, the food quality started to slip. Easter Sunday, my wife and I tried to have breakfast. We were promptly seated, coffee and water delivered, and our orders were taken. Then other folks started coming in, and the same process. We started to notice that the others' food started arriving promptly. The waiter kept refilling my coffee and forgetting to give my wife water. After waiting 30 minutes, the waiters said that our food was coming out. The folks that came in after us were finishing their meals.
