Stopped in on the way home for breakfast, I ordered a regular breakfast of eggs, sausage patties and hashbrowns (which were a extra $1.50) and toast. Glenn ordered a farmer's omelet. Unfortunately the omelette was very dry, was supposed to have 3 different meats, tomatoes, peppers, onions and cheese, well you could barely find any of the ingredients and the cheese was cooked until it was unrecognizable. Any one that's ever had a omelette with cheese knows when you take a bite the cheese should be melted and stringy. Anyway we asked to speak to the cook (?????) Who was also the owner Val. Needless to say, Val was not happy and really didn't want to hear any complaints and just argued about the amount of meat that was in a different omelet that was on the menu. I finally asked him, since we couldn't find any meat, if he minced the meat instead of chopping it, and to my surprise he said yes that he minces the meat. He then just told us to finish eating and GET OUT while he was storming away mumbling about how he'd been there for 6 years and no one ever complained. The restaurant is also very cold and they have ceiling fans everywhere cooling your food. Maybe that explains why there were very few customers in the place. Our server did an...
Read morei wish i could give 0 stars. wait was ridiculous. once we were seated AGAIN (after our original waitress tried to fit 5 people into a 4 person booth and then disappeared) we waited 10 minutes for anyone to take our order. weren't given a menu, or silverware, or water. apparently anything more than 2 people was too much for our original waitress because after she disappeared someone else became our waitress because we told her we hadn't been helped. 5 people ordered off of ONE menu. had to ask for silverware after we'd already gotten our food. the buffet was cold/hard/dry etc and for 14 dollars it wasn't worth it. also when the waitress took our order she didn't even ask what we wanted to drink, we had to bring it up. pretty sure they only have one toaster because i had to wait an extra 5 minutes for my toast. there were people at a booth near us who waited at least ten minutes to get their bill even with one of them literally standing up and staring at all the staff with the staff just blindsiding them as they walked past. highly do not...
Read moreBurgers are generic, flavorless, frozen patties.... the Monte Cristo meat (turkey/ham) tasted old. Monte Cristo bread was amazing! Burger bun was fresh, flakey and delicious! Fries were great as well! Just disappointed by the sub par meat. I get that meat prices have gone up but, quality still needs to be maintained.
Our waitress was very nice... then she disappeared for a while and we were sitting with empty plates waiting for our bill. Then she came through the front door with bags in her hands from the store next door! Should probably shop before/after work or on your break. Definitely not while you have customers!
Another complaint.... in the current environment of the world and covid 19.... they should be taking some extra precautions. I.e. not leaving condiments and salt/pepper on the tables. Tables should be wiped down. Staff should be washing hands (or at least sanitizing) between clearing dirty dishes, handling money/til, and serving fresh...
