Super 8 Hotel: A Majestic Stay Worth Remembering
Where do I even begin to describe the wondrous adventure that is the Super 8 Hotel? From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was enveloped in a serene quietude—a calmness so profound it could rival a monastery at dawn. The staff greeted me with polite smiles and the kind of distant warmth that allows you to truly feel alone but not entirely forgotten.
Once in my room, I was treated to a spectacular discovery under the pillow: a majestic gobb of brown hair, as if Rapunzel herself had left behind a token of her visit. Its texture? Unparalleled. Its placement? A bold statement. It added a personal touch, making me feel like I was sharing the space with a legend.
The architectural brilliance of the door was equally captivating. A broad gap at the bottom allowed for an innovative lighting solution. No need for a nightlight! The gentle glow from the hallway streamed in, creating a comforting ambience—perfect for those who enjoy the thrill of a constant reminder that they’re never truly alone.
The pièce de résistance was, without a doubt, the bathroom light switch. Ingeniously located on the opposite side of the room, it made each midnight bathroom trip a test of agility and patience. Navigating the labyrinth of furniture in the dark, guided only by the ethereal glow from the door gap, felt like an epic quest—an adventure I’ll cherish forever.
Overall, the Super 8 Hotel provided a stay that was truly unforgettable. Between the accommodating staff, the quiet atmosphere, and the charming quirks of the room, it’s an experience I would recommend to anyone seeking an unusual, yet magically...
Read moreGood location and that's the ONLY good thing. Ethnic owner... no big deal, but they live on the property, their shoes were at the door and the smell of body odor just about knocks you out when you enter. I was in room 105. NIGHTMARE. Walked in and the room smelled so poorly and musty that I turned the air conditioning on as cold as I could just to breath. Hair all over sink. Bathroom floor covered in dust and dirt. No floors had been swept. I couldn't even walk without shoes on because something had been spilled on the floor and my socks stuck to it like gum. The worst part.... The blankets, sheets and pillows were COVERED and I mean COVERED in PUBIC hairs. I don't think they had been washed at all. Even had yellow urine stains. It was deplorable. I went and asked for another blanket and was told they hadn't done laundry so they had no clean blankets. A HOTEL THAT ADMITS THEY HAVE NO CLEAN BEDDING??? Disgusting especially considering there was only 3 cars there. If I wasn't an Amish driver only getting 5 hours off sleep, I would have run before I made it in the door. The shoes outside were a turn off from the start. Breakfast was essentially useless. They had hardly any options and I wouldn't eat any food they provided after the quality of the rooms. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Find something nicer. They extra will be worth it unless you like to sleep with someone else's pubic hairs covering you. We shouldn't even discuss the shower. It and the toilet were so dirty I refused to use either. Thank God there was a McDonald's next door for a restroom and at...
Read moreThis hotel is atrocious! From globs of hair we found floating in the pool, to not being informed by the owner who took our reservation that the hotel has no elevator, it was a truly awful experience. The hotel as a whole appears to have had no updates or deep cleaning in several years. The carpets were stained, the toilets were the smallest and lowest I’ve ever seen in a hotel, and some of the window screens had duct tape holding them in place. While the front desk worker appeared to be doing the best she could, she looked exhausted and was the only person we saw behind the desk on the day we arrived and then left the next morning. It was apparent there is no pride of ownership in this establishment. In fact, as we returned from going out for dinner, we saw the people who had just arrived a few hours after we did in the room across from ours packing up to leave. They said they were disgusted by the hotel, and were going to find other accommodations. They wouldn’t even stay one night. Like us, they had two people with mobility issues and they were not informed ahead of time of the lack of elevators. The basement level of the hotel is used for weekly or longer guests, and there was a feeling of a lack of safety. Since the Wisconsin Dells is only about a half an hour away and they have a much larger selection of hotels, the next time we travel to that area, we will be looking for accommodations there instead. At $179/room per night, this was a tremendously shocking disappointment to say the least. We would have preferred to stay in our car...
