(On Facebook as well but sharing in google too) I’m not in the business of writing bad reviews but my family and I were extremely disappointed with our visit here and felt compelled to share. We’ve had several people recommend this place in the past so we decided to finally try it. The older woman at the window, who I can only assume is the owner based on previous reviews, was so incredibly rude and unfriendly. We were checking out the menu trying to decide what we wanted (mind you there was no line and we ushered everyone else in front of us as we decided), when she opened the window and rolled her eyes at us. She then proceeded to scold me for ordering a milkshake last after our ice cream orders because “they take several minutes to make and milkshakes should always be ordered first” with her finger pointed at me the whole time. I was a little embarrassed and bothered. There are a thousand signs everywhere and I didn’t see a single sign telling me what order I should order our ice cream choices. If I hadn’t already gotten a couple of our orders already I would have told her to keep her ice cream. As for the ice cream, it was just ok. Nothing to write home about. Won’t be returning and will tell anyone who asks to save their money and...
Read moreI have to change my review from 5 stars and I don't like to give bad reviews unless they are warranted. I live right around the corner and have been coming for a while. I always had good service, great prices and portion sizes. I recently brought my nephews who are 10 and 4 and they were so excited. It was a Wednesday, early evening, one person behind us. Naturally, it took the kids a couple of minutes to decide and the girl serving us was very impatient and not friendly at all. Also, she kept referring to my 4 year old nephew as a girl even though I corrected her twice. No thank you to us or even a you're welcome when we thanked her. What happened next that infuriates me and I will never return, my 10 year old nephew went to get napkins for his little brother 3 times. The 3rd time, I followed. An older woman pulled the tip jars inside and made a comment about my 10 year old nephew "eyeing the jars" which we both heard. Completely insulting and extremely unprofessional!! FYI..he was getting napkins. He doesn't need to eye your tip jar. I spent enough money on 2 milkshakes and it's upsetting that for no reason, you humiliated a 10 year old. For that, I will...
Read moreThis place is everything. I got to visit this adorable place when I was in town visiting family. I got a gelati and it was truly so good I haven’t stopped thinking about it since. I was born & raised in the Philly burbs so I take my gelati game seriously. The women who run the place let me try a newer flavor called tiger blood and I got it in my gelati and oh my gawd - I’ll dream of it the rest of my life. Also they are so sweet when it comes to bringing your dogs. They have my dog the cutest pup cup on the house. It made his and my night. I demand the locals protect this place at all costs!!!! It is a small business with the type of ice cream and water ice most of us haven’t seen since we were kids (for those of us old enough). Nostalgic vibes and a 10/10 on flavor. Truly. What more could you ever possibly need. For...
