I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sueno, a unique “Coctelera Mexicana” in Richardson that specializes in exceptional Mexican cuisine.
We started off with their chips and salsa, which included two distinct types. One had a milder, tomato-based flavor, while the other had a stronger peppery kick. Both were equally delightful.
I tried two cocktails: the Patron Piña, which featured infused pineapple serrano Patron Silver tequila, fresh lime, pineapple juice, mango puree, organic agave, and orange liqueur. The second cocktail, the Blackberry Smash, combined blackberry tequila, fresh lime juice, orange liqueur, blackberry puree, and organic agave. Both cocktails were served with a dramatic smoky effect thanks to dry ice, which was a nice touch.
For the main course, I had the birria stacked enchilada. It was a delicious combination of layers of tortilla, tender short rib meat, house-blended cheese, salsa, and topped with a fried egg, served on a bed of rice and beans. Absolutely flavorful and satisfying.
To end the meal, we had churros that were handcrafted and filled with caramel cream, served with fresh fruit, a scoop of ice cream topped with a mint leaf, and a dusting of powdered sugar.
The ambiance was lovely, and the service was efficient and friendly, making the overall experience truly fantastic.
