I've been 3 times in last 2 weeks. Food is so good. I nor any of my friends have been disappointed with our meals. One friend had the catfish twice and she loved it, I've had the club sandwich twice and I loved it. I had fried oysters on the night of the block party (Thursdays). They have amazing fries, you can even eat them cold. special menu on that night. They were so good. one night we went there to celebrate a friend's birthday and we had the pleasure of meeting the owner. He was very nice and we complemented Tim highley on the sports bar. We didn't ask but they brought us a whole tray of thick chewy brownies to celebrate with the birthday party. I'll waitresses have been amazing. We've had the pleasure of having one waitress twice she has red hair and usually has it tied up in a scarf she is so amazing. Last night when I ordered takeout at the bar I had a young lady with short natural hair which was also reddish in color and she was very nice. The waitress that was also singing karaoke last night was also nice. This is just an awesome place to be. You will be shocked by the amount of people and fun that you would have on Thursday nights during the block party. This is a must go. They have a live band playing outdoors. Parking is a challenge because there are so many people there. The party is mostly outside but it's also inside as well. They have stations set up for wings, Crab boil, daiquiris....
Read moreI was looking for another place to try close to me and ran across this restaurant. I saw the pics and knew I needed to try it. I'll start by saying this restaurant has a ton of potential but definitely needs a whole new menu. I've never been to a sports bar that didn't atleast have the basic hamburgers, wings, fries, etc. Apparently they used to but now they've gone kosher. The menu has no meat except tuna. Against my better judgement I got a Ceasar salad, it looked good until I realized it had a unreasonable amount of chewy (stale) crutons on it. The tuna sandwich was mediocre at best. The beer was flat. On the bright side the two ladies that were my servers were absolutely wonderful! They saved this place from getting a 1 star review. I wouldn't recommend that you waste your time or money...
Read moreI was on a road trip down the east coast with some friends and was wondering if there was any kosher food nearby. I came across this place (it was the only kosher place for miles) and was quite confused by the name being as it’s an all dairy restaurant with the name pops bar and grill. It is in fact fully kosher under the supervision of the Vaad Hakashrut of Richmond. The place also doubles as a bingo club for old black women but don’t be intimidated they are a lot of fun. The frum owner greeted us with a smile and reassured us of the kashrut of the restaurant. Tasha/Keisha was funny and a great server. Yitchok, a sweet old man who made my food with love. All in all it was a very cute place very family oriented. I really enjoyed my visit. I would definitely...
