Kinda feel the Barista's of today in this establishment are not as experienced enough for me to feel confident on their knowledge of making simple drinks. Why? Well I ordered a Grande Caramel Macchiato with steamed half & half or I would sometime say to have it breved. Then they would ask me right after..."Is that the warm or cold drink?" Well duh??? Who makes cold drinks and ask to have steamed half and half? I mean where is it in the menu that has that type of cold drink with half&half??? They can't tell me that drink exist, cause it doesn't. How do I know?? I know. I use to be a barista myself and took a happy approach into being knowledgeable on how to make drinks that are offered on the menu. Besides, I like leaving cash tips for the Barista's cause I know how they depend on tips as part of their income. I really don't mind breaking bread like that with them. Then I seek the service of this establishment and they ask me questions that they shouldn't have to ask. Like"Is that a cold or warm drink?". Again, duh!!! Does Santa only appear during Christmas only? Duh! Polish your drink making skills cause till then zero tips goes to the unknowledgeable Barista's of Starbucks today. Especially in the willow Ave in Hercules store. They have my no...
Read moreJust left this Starbucks and I have to say I'm very dissapointed in the level of customer service and respect I was just shown by one of the baristas. I've been a gold staus member every years since about 2011 and this is only the 2nd time I've had a negative encounter at any of the stores. First they wouldn't honor the refill policy for an iced coffee. I called into Starbucks customer service to tell them about the issue and they handled it perfectly but when I got off the phone and went to tell the barista I was dealing with what happened she cut me off and said you can call in and tell my manager then walked off on me. I was shocked she would treat me that way. I asked if the manager was available to tell him/her what happened but there was no manager on duty. So that's why I'm sharing my experience on here. Maybe it'll get shared with the store manager. I didn't catch the baristas name but she was young and has partially...
Read moreThe baristas here are nice, but often get sidetracked and focused on the drive-thru service more than the walk-in service.
One clear negative of this Starbucks is that the music tends to be pretty loud. I'm not one to complain about it, and I've taken my conference calls outside, but I once overheard a woman (trying to have a conversation with her associate) ask the baristas to turn down the volume... twice.
Otherwise, the place is kept clean, there are plenty of outlets, and (as with every Starbucks) free wi-fi. There have been one or two instances where the wi-fi has shut down, but I suppose it can't be helped.
Another plus (as far as I can remember) is they are now open for a couple extra hours than they used to - though not as late as the Pinole Vista Shopping...
