Gaspachos El Charro — Restaurant in Richwood

My husband is in town for work. We travel a lot because of his job and in every town we like to hit up the local favorites. These snack joints are our first stops because every little town has them. We went here first because of the reviews (must be paid) and we were very disappointed! The corn had no flavor it tasted like water! There was no salt, the cheese was bland, and everything I mean everything we ordered was doused in hot sauce and tajin! I guess to mask the non existent flavor! We asked for something else and were refunded the difference. But even the replacement was sub par My husband didn’t even touch his fresas con crema (strawberries and cream) after he trudged through the horrible spicy 🌶️ prepared Ramen. We ended up trashing everything and just gave up. Do yourself a favor if you want flavor and something delicious go to Las Fresas. *To note we also asked for easy on the spicy and it was extra spicy. I usually get the chips and queso because you truly can't mess that up. As for the rest, well, I will be sticking with Las Fresas from here on out. The drive-thru here ALWAYS takes so long even just for two drinks. I couldn't possibly imagine why. Makes no sense. There are always young girls in the window to take the order but they are not professional in manners or the way they are dressed not to mention they handle everything while licking their fingers, messing with their hair, and God knows what else. There is no greeting, no thank you for coming, none of that. All around, this place truly deserves maybe one star at the most simply because you just can't really mess up chips and queso or ice cream in a cone.

Other than that, Las Fresas is the go to! You get a great experience all around from food and snacks being served in a timely manner, professionalism all around, cleanliness, the people actually look like they enjoy what they do. 10/10 for Las Fresas! 👏🏽 1/10...

Took my kids here yesterday after school. Kids nachos were fine. I asked them to make sure mine had no spicy stuff at all. It’s almost 1am and I’m still sick as heck from them putting every spicy thing they had in my food. Seems as tho this was done on purpose. Will be sure to report this to other people as well as this seems like food tampering. What a waste of money. We use to come here a lot. Never had any problems. We will not be returning ever again.
