Los Gallos Taqueria — Restaurant in Richwood

My fiancé and I called in a very simple order. Didn’t even add drinks. A quesadilla and a taco. When we got there we had ordered maybe 10-15 minutes prior. We ended up waiting OVER an additional 30 minutes in the drive thru. Someone finally came back to the window and asked if we had been helped. We had already paid and everything we had been waiting for over 30 minutes and they asked us to pull forward so they could help those behind us. My fiancé asked how long that was going to take because clearly they had forgotten about us. They said maybe 2 minutes and to pull forward so we did. When we got our food it was clearly thrown together quickly like they had truly forgotten about us. Again, this was 1 Taco and 1 quesadilla. They forgot the avocado (that we paid extra for) in my taco. Very disappointed because we wasted time that we could’ve spent at home together on our day off. Won’t be coming back...

I visited this old place which is now a business that sells treats and mini appetizers and is in conjunction to their original business of tacos.

I ordered a banana split thinking I would get a banana split the same size and quantity as Dairy Queen. When I asked what it all came with, I was informed that it came with everything much like Dairy Queen. Once I got it, I was stunned by the lack of ice cream and other ingredients.

I always try and give businesses a chance but when I asked if I could get more ice cream, I was told that only one scoop, per flavor. However, the size of the scoop resembled that of a mini meatball. The banana was way bigger than the scoops.

I will not come back nor do I recommend getting a banana split. I am very disappointed.

For the same price I paid, I should have gone to Dairy Queen.

Maybe, they can accept this criticism to perfect...

(Updated review at bottom) Stick with the tacos, quesadillas, and barbacoa! Super delicious tacos! Love coming here for breakfast tacos or an order of barbacoa. The menudo is OKAY. Stay AWAY for the Enchiladas Verde, they are AWFUL!! I thought I was a joke with how much they drowned the enchiladas in the spicy green salsa, could not taste the enchiladas at all. Unfortunately that bad experience took off a star. Everything else is amazing!! Check them out!

Updated Edit: I USED to love this taqueria! They really have started going downhill. Been disappointed here and there, this morning I ordered a Huevos con Machacado and it was extremely disappointing with NO meat in it! Besides this, they have reduced the amount of meat in their tacos (or in my case- NONE) and with higher prices. Only added an extra star because I appreciate that they have homemade...
