This place is a SCAM! As you can read the other reviews they offered free drinks 1 night a year ago in exchange of good ratings to fix their scores level. But recently my daughter ordered two small plates with grilled chicken and two 12oz sodas, and the total was outrageously high for what we got. The so called false "grilled" chicken was cold, clearly frozen and barely reheated, not grilled or fresh at all. The female cashier charged different prices depending on who was ordering, didn’t give the correct change either, and as for other customers also even refused to provide a receipt when asked which is illegal. The photos online make it look like a buzzing hot spot with variety, but when we arrived, the place was completely empty, overhyped stand the size of a NYC bathroom, with a cheap air fryer and lacked any welcoming atmosphere. The cashier female was too slow to respond, acted visibly irritated and disinterested, as if she didn’t want to deal with customers at all. The restrooms are atrocious full of feces around. The whole experience felt uncomfortable and borderline unsafe. We always give tip at the end, we had $15 in cash ready to leave it at the table, but the cashier decided to steal around $4 dollars for a drink that was suppose to cost $1 and the menu had it for $2.50. Also when serving "juice" in reality she will give a small plastic cup of ice only with a few spoons of colored juice. Overall Deceptive Rip off. Don’t be fooled just because the unprofessional female speaks English and pretends to be attentive at first, she’s running a shady setup meant to overcharge, mislead tourists, and take advantage of unsuspecting visitors. Many other locals also speak English and offer far better food, honest prices, and respectful service. This is a tourist trap, there are way much better options all around. When the cashier reads this: just remember, karma has a way of collecting what’s owed and it always comes...
Read moreWe had a fantastic lunch. My kids are super picky, and occasionally difficult when they don't recognize every little thing. Christina took the time to make helpful and insightful recommendations. If it weren't for her our experience wouldn't have been the same.
She made fantastic drinks...OMG they came in quart containers. Exactly what I needed. They were delicious and lasted for the whole meal. My kids had fresh watermelon juice and mint lemonade. Those were both delicious and refreshing.
It was a quiet Monday afternoon and we had the whole place to ourselves. We sat at some patio furniture in a cute courtyard like setting, but we got to eat off real dishes.
My wife had an Oriental noodle special with tuna. It was bright, fresh ahi and has just the right amount of spicy chili crisp.
I had a Poké bowl and it's one of the best I've had outside of Hawaii. There was avocado, green onions, seaweed, and of course beautiful diced ahi. The soy sauce was dark and rich. I could have used a splash more sesame oil, but then I could drink sesame oil from the bottle!
We ordered 6 vegetable dumplings and 12 pork dumplings for the kids. Those disappeared fast, and I ordered another dozen of the pork and a fantastic hibiscus cinnamon iced tea.
During our meal it started to rain, and then pour, we were protected by the umbrellas, but I scooted back and enjoyed the rain washing the ocean salt off of me.
Ambiance 100! Food quality and taste 100! Christina's recommendations and accommodations 100!
I can't wait to go back next time we...
Read moreSpires Market is a hidden gem in Rincon, offering delicious and nutritious dishes with fresh ingredients and Asian-inspired flavors. The restaurant has a cozy and relaxed atmosphere, with open air seating and a view of the beautiful Lala’s beach. The service is friendly and attentive, and the prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. I ordered the tuna bowl, which was a generous portion of sushi-grade tuna, turmeric rice, avocado, cucumber, carrots, seaweed salad, and a light dressing. The tuna was tender and flavorful, and the veggies added a nice crunch and freshness. The dressing was creamy and spicy, but not overpowering. It was a satisfying and balanced meal that left me feeling energized and happy. My friend had the Banh mi sandwich, which was pulled pork, pickled veggies, and a sweet and tangy sauce. The sandwich was warm and hearty, and the pork was moist and tender. My friend enjoyed every bite and said it was one of the best sandwiches she ever had. We also shared a fresh passion fruit juice, which was so refreshing. It was a perfect way to cool down on a hot day. We had a wonderful time at Spires Market, and we can’t wait to go back and try more of their menu items. If you are looking for a healthy and tasty option in Rincon, you should definitely check out Spires Market. You...
