We stayed 3 nights at this beachfront hotel and it was overall a great experience. We requested a ocean view room and we got really lucky in that we had a room that was literally on the beach. The door to our balcony opened up and it looked like you could walk right out into the water. It was amazing! The beach at this location is great too. Lots of people swimming and snorkeling, and there is easy access to patio chairs and showers when you take the few steps up from the beach. The room itself was clean and nice. They didn't really provide a room cleaning service that we noticed, but they did give you fresh towels regularly. They also provided beach towels for free, which was great. No blackout curtains so you may need a sleeping mask if light in the room bothers you. The bathroom wasn't ideal, but was still usable. The hot water only lasts long enough for two people to shower, so keep that in mind if you tend to take long showers. There's only a small window in the bathroom and no vent, so the floor tends to stay wet for quiet a while after a shower. Coffee maker was provided for free, but no tea for free like a lot of places. The restaurant was decent and although their food prices were a little high their drink prices were fair. The staff was great overall. They were very helpful and pleasant. I should point out to anyone that's wanting to stay at the hotel that this is a VERY popular dining spot. Lots of people come here for the great views and the sunset. So that is a lot of people coming in and out with loud music playing at the bar and lots of drinking. This wasn't a real issue for us as the bar closes at 10pm and we usually go to sleep after that, but if you are someone who tends to go to sleep earlier than that then this may not be the best hotel for you. I did also notice that there was a lot of litter around the hotel, especially on the beach side. This was obviously caused by drunk people as it's mostly beer bottles/cans and cigarette butts. With the huge staff at this hotel it would be nice if they did a little better cleanup along the shoreline to keep this trash off the beach and out of the water. But as I said at the start....Great hotel overall with a...

My mom and I spent a blissful holiday at Hotel Villa Cofresi last month. It was our first time there, but will definitely not be our last...we cannot wait to return. This spot on the west coast of Puerto Rico is pure paradise, everything about this hotel is perfection. You cannot beat this location...right on the beach with the ocean only steps away, and spectacular sunsets every day! I love that the entire lobby, bar and restaurant is open-air, enabling the sweet sea breeze to waft through the whole area. ||Our beautifully appointed room was on the 3rd floor with a partial view of the ocean had all necessary amenities, and the king size bed was extremely comfy. We loved the consistent and soothing sound of the ocean waves, which was like a lullaby at night. The stairs to the lobby were nearby, but we were grateful for the elevator, which we preferred to use. The elevator even has a view of the ocean, which was an added bonus. ||The pool was easily accessible and a joy to spend time in, we made so many new friends by the pool. Make sure you try the hotel's special Pirate Drink, so delicious...and it packs quite a punch! The bartenders there also make the best frozen Pina Coladas I've ever had. We loved the hotel restaurant...all the servers are warm, friendly, polite, professional and eager to please the guests...they truly appear to be happy working there, which is a testament to the owners and how well they must treat their employees. We are especially grateful to servers Christopher and Marcelo..I wish I could remember all their names!||Thank you Hotel Villa Cofresi for such a special...

Very nice hotel at a great location. Staff is wonderful including security. They do have very strict policies in place due to covid and have made some changes that they should consider changing back to later on since they are things that make this place one of the best places to go to with family and friends. One of the biggest changes is that only guests are allowed on the premises. If friends or family would like to visit, reservations to the restaurant or notification at the front desk are necessary. Friends/family are only allowed at reception area/bar/ restaurant areas. Another thing that has changed is their surtido. The first time I ever had one was here years ago and have returned ever since to have it. It was the best thing along with the coco piratas. They now serve it in a small portion size with only 3 sides. I recommend increasing the portion size and variety. I also recommend that housekeeping should be daily and include mopping of floors and bathrooms. It shouldn't be the guests choice specially since we are being covid aware. Please remember to tip housekeeping before you leave accordingly. They also need to stock up their shop with more souvenirs with their logo on it. I was really looking forward to purchasing some. The pool closes between 7pm/8pm depending on the day of the week and the restaurant also closes by 10pm/11pm. Parking is a hassle. I really recommend that they either do valet parking or assigned parking. Overall, the staff is what really made it a great stay.

Everything about this family owned and run resort works extremely well as a guest. My wife and I (plus friends and other family members) have made Villa Cofresi the preferred place of choice in Rincon. I can say this because we’ve been staying here throughout the last 10 plus years and stayed in many of the other advertised locations throughout Rincon. The combination of the ocean view location and everyday sunset, the restaurant/bar, access to the beach area (depending on the weather the sand at times is taken away by the ocean and boulders are revealed which does take away from the beach area), mostly weekend entertainment, plus the service and ambiance created / generated by all the staff is just top notch (of course from time to time there have been some staff that have not been part of the exceptional service and they don’t last long). We have been here pre and post Hurricane Maria so the hospitality industry on the Island has gone through some changes and post Hurricane Maria I have noticed a considerable focus on guests versus outsiders (no matter who they are). Personally, don’t have a problem with it as I make a point to stay away when not a guest as I’ve felt that cold shoulder despite my many years of being a loyal customer. Everyone has a choice and when I want the focused exceptional service and experience I book my reservations and know it’s going to be a great visit.

I travel extensively for work. I have been staying at Villa Cofresi for the last two years. I have probably spent over a month at this property over my several stays. You cannot beat the value for the oceanfront rooms. I have read some of the complaints about cleanliness. I can say hands down without hesitation that this is one of the cleanest hotels I have stayed at. I spend about 200 nights a year in hotel rooms. The house keeping is better than most 5 star resorts I have been to. I usually keep my do not disturb sign on, but every day, housekeeping leaves a bag of fresh towels on my door. One review mentioned that they host a lot of swim teams. In all of my stays, I have never encountered this. Not saying that they don’t host teams, but I don’t think this is a regular occurrence. I’m a little baffled at the complaint about the jukebox costing money. This person must not get out much, because I have never seen a free jukebox at a bar. What is really nice about this property is that it is still family owned and has been maintained better than most properties. I’m glad that my money is going to a local business rather than a large hotel chain. I am in no way affiliated with this hotel and this is solely my personal opinion. I recommend this hotel to anyone I know that is traveling to PR.
