How do I start this one out.if a 0 existed that's what they would get... A few months ago my sister and I decided to come to PR for my father anniversary of his death. Seeing how hard we knew it would be our husbands decided to take us here after my fathers service to be able to relax and enjoy each other since we live in different states and rarely see each other. Upon driving from Salinas to Rincon we arrived for check in. As we approach the desk the man on site said we had 2 reservation for the same 4 days. We said no we only reserved one and had no confirmation of a second reservation. We asked how this could happen and to please fix it upon which we were told No it your fault and since the hotel is booked we would loose money so the charges stay. We asked for a manager to which we were told no one was there and we would need to speak to Maribel the next day. We did and boy the disrespect was unlike anything I have ever experienced before. My husband went down to speak to her first to which she basically told him his fault we'll try and get you back the one night and cancel the other nights for the second reservation (which again we have no record of) as she went on and on about it being his fault he said we intend on spending the money at your resort anyway we wanted to give back to the island after it horrible effects of Maria only to be told we don't need your tourist dollars PR is doing just fine and the news was a lie... Wow we were appauld! Really cause 2blocks down they still were down lines trash everywhere and panhandlers... Ect...to which no response. She told him to come back later and she would see what she could do, my husband asked for a manager to which he was told no. Asked for a # no! Asked for an email no!. So since my husband is American and doesn't speak the language I thought ok maybe there's a miss understanding in the language... So I went down boy was I wrong not only was she rude to me when I explained why we there she basically told me oh well my mom and dad died too. I was besides myself. I then demanded a manager to which I was told nope! I explained I was a business owner and if any of my customers were treated this way I'd be out of business! She said well if your a business owner than you know business is business. She said I told your husband to come back at 12 and I may have an answer for you. He went down at 12 and she said I told u tomorrow at 12 (this would now be our 2day there) he said no you said today, now I do want to speak to a manager. She said no and I'm done with you!! I will only speak to your wife. Really after telling me my dads death was no biggie you want to deal with me??? Not a good move, I said ok I'll wait and go tomorrow..as if I wasn't greaving and stressed enough... After that I guess I made her mad cause we never had housekeeping at all 4days we constantly had to ask for towels. The AC was leaking all over the floors were black. We ask serval times for a housekeeping/do not desturb sign and we're not given one until the day before we left. We got a call to our room the next day saying they agree to credit the one night and that's it. Ok... But I still want to speak to a manager. Nope. The next morning as I was waiting for my sister Maribel walked over pointed me out to a a staff member and said that's them.... what?????????After seeing she was no longer at the counter we approached the desk and asked someone else there to which they had no problem giving us an email. My husband and I wrote an email to supposingly the manager or owner they wouldn't confirm but his name was Arnaldo Ruiz explaining in detail what had happened. Only to wait another day to be told in the exact same words Maribel used (which leaves me to believe it was from her not a manager) no sorry for our unprofessional employee, no we are sorry for your loss, basically a take it and shove it. I would highly recommend taking your tourism dollars elsewhere since apparently it's not needed they hate Americans and could care less about your feeling or what one may be...

When you pull up to a hotel and are greeted at the reception desk by a plexiglass partition between you and the reception attendant, the odds are pretty high you're in for a crappy experience. The property shows its age, though they seemed to have made upgrades in some of the rooms. The room we were given had a large dehumidifier, and we should have wondered why. We were given room #260 on the left side of property next to parking lot.|Our balcony door was broken and open allowing easy access for any outdoor mosquitoes to come in and feast on us. To their credit they did send maintenance to fix it by placing something to wedge the door so it would close. When I had asked to see if we could be moved elsewhere, I was immediately told that the property was completely full and they couldn't give us anything else.|The next day a family was checking in and we spied them going up and getting a room upstairs on the right side of the resort. The hotel, while busy, did not seem "fully booked". I also |noticed there was a certain |demographic in the better rooms |on the right side of property and on higher floors. Yes, pity to say but the Caucasian/or Caucasian-presenting guests were given better rooms and folks of color like myself were relegated to the second floor level on the parking lot side rooms. To make matters worse, we were directly above the laundry facilities area, so you could literally hear the machines when they would start and stop through the day as well as |parking lot activity, this might have been why the huge dehumidifier was there. After a change of front desk staff two days later, my Caucasian husband (without myself being present, as I was at check in) was immediately given a far more comfortable room on the left side of property, seemingly confirming my earlier suspicions about profiling.|We had done our research and knew it was not going to be a top-notch experience but to be racially profiled while on what was supposed to be a fun vacation was a bridge too far. To anyone thinking of staying here, there are better options nearby. Don't make the mistake of staying at this mediocre “resort”, especially at the exorbitant prices they have the...
