**Upscale Rio's Tuesday Rib Night: A Gastronomic Delight** Nestled in the heart of Rio Rancho, NM, Upscale Rio has transformed Tuesday nights into a carnivore's paradise with their **Rib Night** extravaganza. The star of the show is undoubtedly the **slow-cooked pork ribs**, bathed in a house BBQ sauce that's both tangy and sweet, with a smoky depth that lingers on the palate. The meat, so tender and succulent, slides off the bone with ease, making a knife an unnecessary table companion. Accompanying the ribs is a side of **elote corn**, a Mexican street food classic reimagined with a twist of harissa honey butter. The aioli, chile, and feta topping add layers of creamy, spicy, and tangy flavors that dance on the tongue, complementing the robustness of the pork. And let's not forget the **half-size baked potato**, a humble dish elevated to decadence at Upscale Rio. Loaded with a generous helping of cheese, crispy bacon, and a dollop of sour cream, it's comfort food that perfectly balances the meal. The portions are as generous as they are flavorful, ensuring that every diner leaves satisfied. The large corn-on-the-cob, lightly buttered and sprinkled with feta cheese, is a testament to Upscale Rio's commitment to quality and flavor. In conclusion, Upscale Rio's Tuesday Rib Night is not just a meal; it's a culinary journey that's both comforting and exciting. It's a must-visit for any foodie looking to indulge in some of the finest ribs and sides that New Mexico has to offer. **Highly recommended!**

We were looking at new restaurants in Rio Rancho and found this one. We decided to try it. The hostess was really nice. Our waitress was on top of it she was so kind, professional and friendly. She provided us refills before our drinks were even empty. I asked her what the best appetizer was and she pointed them out. We enjoyed the staff they were all very nice and knew the menu! We decided to try the pork sliders. These sliders were stacked high with delicious pulled pork, onions and pickles. One of the best appetizers I have ever had. My mom had the chicken fried chicken with green chili gravy and she said it was phenomenal! My nephew had the pulled pork hamburger and sweet potato fries he said the burger was fantastic and the fries were delicious. My youngest had the kids quesadilla and fries and she seemed to really enjoy her food. I had the maple glazed meatloaf with double mashed potatoes. The meatloaf was delicious and whatever the glaze was made out of was super delicious. The mashed potatoes were also delicious. My other family members tried the chocolate cake and really enjoyed it but said it was super rich. The atmosphere was nice and it was not too noisy. I love this new restaurant! I would love to eat here again anytime.

I was excited to try this place for the first time. We opted for take-out. We ordered the double green chile cheddar burger, and the chicken and avocado frites. The amount of food in the chicken and avocado frites for $16 was so little we felt ripped off at first. But after the gastrointestinal issues experienced, we were glad that there was less food. The fries with the burger and the chicken were old and disgusting. Obviously had been sitting for who knows how long and reheated for our displeasure. The burger could have actually been good if it wasn't for all the other horrors experienced. The green chile stood out. Although the bun was not great and soggy. They had their own pickles which were good, but again not worth the overall experience. The front-end server who took our order was friendly. But what does it matter if the kitchen is serving food not fit for your dog. Usually, I would contact the restaurant and give them a second chance to make it right before leaving a review. But it was so bad, they will not be serving us food again.

I would not advise to order delivery from here. And I would advise Upscale to forego using Doordash for their delivery service. We ordered at 5:40pm with estimated delivery or 6:35. Typical for dinner time. It's 7pm with my driver stating they picked up at 6:22. Still no food. $75 invested and food will most likely be cold and stale. Asked driver, they said, "Food is kept in on doordash bag they assign multiple orders"....awesome, nice to know my order will get to me 45 minutes + past the time it was suppose to arrive with the reason I was given about it being kept in a bag. The Doordash driver accidently called me so I decided to ask why so late and he said he was sorry and got multiple orders at the same time. Update: order arrived cold (as assumed) and totally wrong from what I ordered. Called the restaurant as I didn't realize it was through Doordash initially and had no info for them. I told them my my experience. Nicole was really nice and we talked through how the website stated wedges and they don't even make wedges. She told me she'd tell the owners of the websites mistakes and offered to refund my order. I thought this was appropriate it being cold, wrong and way over due. I'm writing this before an actual refund is submitted so if there is problem with that I will update this post. All in all, I would not order online and will try them again only because Nicole was very professional and willing to make my bad experience right. I feel like we didn't really get to experience the food either where it was so cold and not what we ordered. We both agreed...

Upscale Rio: A Disappointing Experience

I was excited to try Upscale Rio, a new restaurant that claims to offer a fusion of New Mexican and American cuisine. However, my first visit left me feeling unsatisfied and underwhelmed.

I ordered the NM Mac & Cheese, which sounded like a hearty and comforting dish. However, what I got was a bowl of bland and watery pasta with some chicken tenders on top. The chicken was dry and flavorless, the pasta was mushy and overcooked, and the cheese sauce was thin and runny. The only thing that had some taste was the green chile, which was served on the side and not mixed with the cheese sauce. It was so spicy that it made my mouth burn and my nose run, but it did not complement the dish at all.

The service was also disappointing. I did not get any offer for a beverage refill until I was done with my meal, which would have been nice, as I needed something to cool down my tongue. The staff was polite and friendly, but they seemed to be too busy or distracted to pay attention to my needs.

I was hoping for a satisfying and delicious meal, but I ended up feeling frustrated and hungry. I will give them another try, but next time I will order something else, maybe a burger and fries, which looked more appetizing than what I had. Upscale Rio needs to improve its food quality and service if it wants to live up...
