Halal Gyro Master — Restaurant in River Vale

Love the cheeseburgers and double cheeseburger. I wish there were more differ types of cheeseburger options i.e with sautéed mushrooms and onions or halal turkey bacon etc. . Overall, love the taste of the cheeseburger but wish the patty wasn’t so thin.

The chicken zinger and chicken mild burgers are delicious but sometimes the bun:chicken ratio was way off. Too much Bun, not enough chicken.

I really love their hot wings. They’re so crunch and taste great - but way too overpriced for the size of the wings (size of my pinky). Plus $24 for pinky size wings plus fries is ridiculous. it’s overpriced when it comes to the wings and nuggets.

My mom got the falafel salad and she liked it a lot overall, but was hoping for a better dressing.

The one thing that I wasn’t a fan of is their meat platters. It’s decent, but I’d rather go to halal guys for that.

I would love to see more burger/chicken options and less platters as I feel we have so many platters but not enough halal fast food which is what I love about this place.

The one thing I think needs improvement is their staff. I typically order via Grubhub and picking up in store and I am never greeted and when the employees do interact, they don’t understand what I’m asking or will only give one pouch of ranch for 10 wings.

I was one of the firs reviewers of this place when it first opened. At that time time I posted a very positive review because the gyro I got was perfect in every way, Unfortunately it has gone waay down hill after those first few weeks. I have given it several addittional tries to be fair and each time it was basically un edible and 90%tossed in he trash. The main problem is that they have their own idea what Tzatzik sauce is supposed to taste like. Theirs is nothing like I have ever gotten on any Gyro anywhere . I thought there must have been a mixup but even when you specifically ask for Tzatzik on your gyro which I thought was standard -- the sauce they give you does not even resemble the flavor of Tzatziki. IF you do decide to order fro here I suggest supplying your own sauce. IF anyone knows good place for Gyro please do lmk.

This review is specifically about platters and white sauce serving size.

I ask for VERY LITTLE white sauce and the platter will still be DRENCHED in white sauce. This has happened the past 5 visits consecutively, and it wasn't like this before. I used to actually get controlled amount of white sauce before.

This place would be 5 star review if it was actually possible to ask for VERY LITTLE white sauce and actually be given VERY LITTLE white sauce. Unfortunately, that appears impossible here. Employees either don't understand what "VERY LITTLE" means, or they completely ignore the request for "VERY LITTLE".

I even ended up throwing out the food on my last visit because I couldn't handle stomach all that excessive...
