Pascack Brook County Park — Attraction in Westwood

I grew up here. Me and all my friends throughout HS hung out here for everything. It has changed beautifully over the years, I take my kids here and they love the trails and parks and the new connection to westvale. Great for picnics, cookouts, dog walking, biking, fishing, tennis, basketball, baseball, healthy snacks and much more. 😊

HEY BERGEN COUNTY FAM!👋🏾 Let's be real. Often times our kids come alone to this park and a lot of the backstreet residents who use the forest entry paths are blocked by down branches or fallen tree limbs and there aren't owned or manned by Westwood community so they won't clean it. If you care about the parks natural geography, wildlife, and your childs safety as much as me and also use this forest pathway let's do our part to remove some pathway obstructions if strong enough or with a group. We came here for the first time today and I was not disappointed. It's a beautiful park. The cherry blossom trees were absolutely gorgeous. I chose this park because I was looking for a park with paved paths due to a bad storm last night and a lot of flooding and it was definitely a great choice. Benches around the pond were great to just sit back and enjoy the sunny day after a nice walk. I will say though that their playground was completely flooded with water almost up to the bench seats. Other than that, everything else was fine, except the grass was incredibly saturated and my feet got wet through my sneakers, so walking on the grass through the soccer field to get to the bathrooms was a...

Such a great place to bring your family! Its actually like 3 separate parks with 3 separate playgrounds for kids. One park and playground near and around a pond with fishing and a paved path around it for bike riding (lots of little kids with training wheels) and walking (with bathroom facilities, although last time I was there it was closed and just port o potties were open), and then another park experience on a paved path through streams and swamps from the pond to a large public playing fields complex that had a paved jogging path around it and bathroom facilities and another playground.
