Don't come without a reservation or a white friend! I showed up early expecting a wait, cus let's be honest, the food is popping & the drinks are on hit! I was told it'd be a 30 minute wait. Cool. We waited for over an hour before we noticed that others w/o reservations who showed up after us were being seated before us. We asked about wait time and was assured that we'd be sat down next. We were discussing wait times with another party of 4 who showed up after us. Then the hostess went to go seat THAT party before us, but I spoke up and said we were next. There was a nice empty table that she walked us past & proceeded to sit us in the very back next to the restroom. We asked to sit at the bigger table but were told that the table was being saved for a reservation. Totally understand, & that would've been fine, but turns out the hostess lied to us & sat down that party of 4 at the nice table who we were talking with who showed up after us. I know for a fact they did NOT have a reservation because they told us. I don't understand why we were lied to. We honestly felt profiled. We are 3 professional/educated women of color who were catching up to exchange gifts because 1 of us just came back from a trip to South America, & I recently flew in from the carribean, so our clothing was on the more colorful/ethnic side, and the looks we got from staff were unsettling. But besides all that, the food...
Read moreIn reading the reviews before visiting, I knew some people had an issue with service. A girlfriend and I went on a Saturday morning and were the first ones there. The young girl who sat us, literally tried putting us at a small table a few feet inside the entrance. It was chilly that morning so we asked to be moved. The girl seemed a little put out. So, we got seated at a high table in the back. The chairs are horrendous. Whoever decided these would be great chairs for people to sit on during a meal, needs to rethink that decision. No one wants to sit on a 1 foot metal square for at least an hour. I guess this would move people along faster?
Neither of us drink, so we had coffee. They don't sell espresso drinks (latte, etc), so had regular coffee. It was just diner level coffee. I ordered the breakfast tots. Big serving for a small plate. Just had some scrambled eggs and crumbled bacon and cheese on them. Nothing special. Also ordered the deviled eggs which were pretty good. $30 for breakfast. As far as the service went, it was okay when the server came by, but my friend and I always felt like we were putting the server out when we asked for anything. Not welcoming at all. The building is very open inside and everything is just loud and the music was obnoxious when trying to have a nice...
Read moreI LOVE THIS PLACE!! Beautiful presentation of drinks and dishes as well as DELICIOUS!! AMAZING SERVICE!! It was today, (Saturday) and only waited a couple mins for them to get a table ready. Wonderful atmosphere! I’m not so sure why the negatives were so negative, but I had a great experience. We were there for like over 2 hours! They have coffee, mimosa and/or michelada flights!! It’s such a cute place with an awesome and chill vibe! Their espresso martinis are BOMB! Their Get Roasted sandwich was explosive with flavor! I loved it! Their strawberry and brown sugar espresso martini, mimosa flights and coffee flight were all SOOOOOOOO GOOOOOD!!!!! You gotta try it out and see for yourself! You won’t be disappointed 🙌 it was about $55 for each of us (3 people) because we all had our own meal, ordered 2 espresso martinis, a big drink, 3 orders of mimosa flights, one coffee flight (so good) and tater tot appetizer. So, it was reasonable for what we ordered and it was worth every penny. I want more of it lol. Will come...
