MARISCOS APATZINGAN — Restaurant in Riverside

I give this restaurant zero stars. I placed an order on Uber eats expecting this place to be great based on reviews. I never ate here before so figure give it a try. Worst decision, I ordered from the menu under “child’s plate” a quesadilla meal which I paid full price for and they got the order wrong. According to the employee/manager apparently Uber eats “messed up their menu” which doesn’t make sense to me it’s obvious that the price for large quesadilla and child’s plate quesadilla is different. Anyhow, well here comes the cherry on top I also ordered 2 caldo de res and let me tell you when I opened the lid there it was a FLY floating in my soup!! Yuck. Disgusting to say the least. I immediately called the restaurant and addressed my issues with my order and the employee plus the manager vicky were no help whatsoever. I was never offered a refund and the only thing they could say was that they couldn’t do anything about the quesadilla meal but to stop by so I can pick up a new soup. Gross! I cannot eat at a place like this ever. Sad that I paid almost $50 for something that I could not eat. Very disappointed with this...

I have two experiences with this location. The first we dined in, and I won’t lie the food and service was great. The second time was today through door dash. I first want to say that I understand wait times and delays due to under staffing. However, I think part of what makes good service is giving accurate ETAs. Initially, our eta was 40 minutes, then it got pushed back 15 minutes, then another 15 minutes. 2 hours later we get a notification that our order was canceled and that the restaurant was now closed…closed at 11 am when their hours say 8:30am-9pm?? 2 hours is a long time, 2 hours of our time was wasted. If my order gets accepted I expect it to be followed through. If you can’t carry out the order, for whatever reason, don’t accept it and refund me right away, not two...

The food is decent, but the servers are all over the place & always got an attitude. My wet burrito had corn & peas in it which was weird that has never happened, it threw off my appetite. It took the server a long time just to bring us our drinks. They wanted to charge $3 for a small side of sour cream & when I asked the waitress why, she just shrugged her shoulders & said that’s the cost. However, every time I go I usually get charged .75 cents for it. She argued with me saying there’s nothing she can do that I have to pay the $3 for it.
