Would not recommend. Not worth the price.

Showed up at 7pm on a Friday night to only 3 other tables being full. 2 tables left as we were decided what to order. The music was so loud that we could barely hear each other. We ended up ordering the Frituras De Mar appetizer, Burrito Chilango, and Burrito Guanajuato. Food came out fairly quickly. The Calamari rings in the appetizer were over cooked. The Burrito Chilango was wrong and they served me a Norteño burrito instead. The server never came back to tell that the order was wrong. I ate what I could of it, but had to pull it apart as it contained guacamole which I cannot eat. Which is why I did NOT order a guacamole burrito. My drink was empty after the appetizer, and I never could get anyone to refill it (just water). The only time we were able to get the server’s attention after ordering was when I set my card out to pay. The server rushed over and grabbed it very quickly. In contrast however, a small group came in and was seated as we were finishing our meal, and they received PLENTY of attention from multiple servers. I used to live in New Mexico and the Mexican food is the best thing about New Mexico so I am very particular about what is good Mexican food. Sonora Grill is hands down the best authentic Mexican food in Dayton, in my opinion. The fact that their seafood menu is so extensive, fresh, and delicious is extraordinary in the Midwest. My favorite dish is thé Fileté Poblano. I can never finish it because the vegetables, rice and Texas toast are the sides and are SO good too. And we always get the queso and chips too. So, my leftovers make one, sometimes two great leftover meals. Then there are the enormous and enormously wonderful margaritas. My favorite is the mango. Next time I will remember to take a photo. This restaurant is so good that we never hesitate to take our foodie friends and no one has ever been disappointed! The service is as exceptional as the the food. A wonderful place to experience a Marisquería. Octopus, oysters, shrimp and fish along with Mexican classics and an amazing selection of steak. The ceviches are numerous and extremely satisfying, I recommend the aguachile ceviche. The servers are the best muchachas and respond quickly. If you are having a celebration like a birthday they come out with lights, a shot and dancing and turn the energy level up. Speaking of shots, their drink menu is awesome from the 32 oz Michelada with shrimp and spices and garnished with fruit and a chili straw to the rainbow margaritas you'll definitely want to have a drink from here.
