Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Roanoke Rapids

Went to this drive thru tonight for half price shakes. My mother ordered a banana cream pie shake, as it sounded delicious. When the girl brought the shakes out as she handed them through the window she announced it as "Coconut cream pie shake with banana" and we said no.. banana cream pie shake. She said it was 'just how it comes' and left, so I tasted it to be safe, as my mother is allergic to coconut. It was indeed coconut. The receipt said "Coconut cream pie shake, with banana" like it was a special add-on. My mother went out of the car and to the window to ask for a banana cream pie shake, no coconut. She came back, looked at her new receipt, and saw the same thing, "coconut cream pie shake, with banana" so I tasted it, and it did indeed have coconut. I have checked the website, and the banana cream pie shake is advertised as Real Ice Cream mixed with the rich flavor of banana cream pie into a thick and creamy shake, finished with whipped topping, more pie crumbs and a cherry. I don’t usually leave reviews, but this experience was too bad to ignore. I went to Sonic the other day craving some chili cheese tots, thinking it’d be a quick, satisfying snack. What I didn’t expect was to be served a side of ROACHES with my order.

Yep, you read that right. I took one bite, something felt off, so I decided to check under the cheese—and there they were. TWO roaches chilling under the melted cheese like it was part of the recipe. Absolutely disgusting.

I took the food back to the window, and while the employee apologized and gave me a refund, the damage was already done. I shouldn’t have to worry about pests in my food, period. Safe to say, I won’t be coming back to this location, and if you value your health, you might want to think twice before you do either.

The food was soggy lifted the burger and it fell apart. It was thrown together and looked real messy .

Update; Andrea the manager called me and gave us 2 free combo meals. Went there tonight around 5pm and i will definitely not be going back here again. The burgers were supposed to be double bacon cheeseburgers and they had no cheese. And one had extra pickles and there was no extra.. the fries were barely even filled and the onion rings were mush.. i honestly thought it would be a different experience tonight and it was worse.. took over 25 minutes to be helped and cars pulled up way after us and were served before us. .. i will not be going back here...
