AGOGO — Restaurant in Roanoke

First time ever to this restaurant, and I will definitely be back. I drive a truck for USPS and eat out more than I should. Though with that comes the chance to try new places. The food was amazing. I got the chicken and steak hibachi. The amount was more than I could eat in one sitting. It was less than 20.00 for my meal and a drink. That meal turned into 2, so it was well worth the money. You don't have a waitress that comes to your table. As soon as you walk in you go to the counter and order your food. The menu is by the register. One you order your food you can eat it there or take it home. All meals come in a to go box. You fix your own drinks, the fountain drinks are right beside the register as well. It took about 10 minutes total from the time I walked in to get my food. I definitely enjoyed this establishment and will be back again. I recommend you going if you are in Ronake and want a good, affordable amount of food...

I ordered the hibachi shrimp and the shrimp itself was good but the rice didn't seem like normal Japanese or Chinese rice, my husband felt it wasn't fresh but it was okay enough for us to eat and as for the vegetables it was mostly undercooked huge pieces of onion, a few mushrooms, and at least a good portion of zucchini which for me is what saved this meal. The yum yum sauce was good but it cost like $1 each which most places give 1 per order before it cost (we only order 1). Also the employee told us to look at the menu but said it was old and didn't have the updated prices, at first I thought that was okay and it couldn't be that different then I thought something that was going to be around 9 bucks ended up costing like 15 bucks so I was glad my husband and I just decided to split the order. This restaurant is take out only and still require masks to enter even for vaccinated...

Amazing!!! Must Go Go to Agogo! Have been here 2x now, and each time great. They make all the food fresh that's on the bar to choose from, if it doesn't meet their standards they dont serve it and cook it fresh....but it doesn't take anytime extra, they have it working as soon as you go in. Huge portions, excellent quality, friendly staff, CLEAN environment, and very affordable. Typically when I see cheap(er) Chinese food, I run for the hills so I was skeptical at first, but with 2 great experiences I would recomend to any one to try out, and I will be back many times.

I only have had the build your own bowls, and the chicken dumplings so I can't speak on the "entire menu" that they offer, but with everything being great, I will try it out the next time I am needing some good Chinese take out!
