Just had an annual Retul followup bike fitting yesterday with Karen at the Grandin Village location and the experience was stellar. I live in the Washington DC area but bought my gravel bike at Cardinal last March as there were none to be found locally for the exact model I was looking for - a Specialized Diverge Evo Comp. My experience with the purchase and original Retul fitting made it an easy decision to repeat the 7 hour overnight round trip for the follow-up adjustment session. Karen spent several hours reassessing my physical characteristics and retuning my modified bike to my fit, as I had made several changes to the bike. I’m extremely happy with the results. She was personal, attentive and most importantly, an expert at Retul fitting. I also had the mechanics examine the bike while I was there and they made some required adjustments. Likewise, they were excellent. An added plus is a friendly coffee/breakfast bar that was very tasty, and a selection of microbrews that I was unable to enjoy due to the ride home. I highly recommend this bike shop and their entire team and only wish that their shop was in...
Read moreThey were having a sale. I had seriously considered purchasing a different brand of ebike. But Bob, the mostly mechanic and sales person filled me in thoroughly and spent a lot of time discussing the specialized Tero 5 and why it was a really good choice. I left the store and a little while later Bob called me to tell me he had found the bike in their stock in a small frame size. He asked if I was interested in it. I said yes but couldn't come back that same day. He said if I was coming tomorrow he would put my name on it and hold it since this bike in question was around 33% off the retail price and their last one. I went by the next day, Bob was there, handed over the bike for a test ride. He then went over the actual bike with me and he discussed and paired the app with my phone. It means a lot (and worth a lot) to have someone so familiar with the product and local to help with any questions or concerns. I highly recommend anyone looking for a new bike, Cardinal Bicycle is the best and while there give a...
Read moreI went to 5+ different bike shops surrounding my area in different states up to 85 miles. Cardinal was the only place that actually worked hard to find a bike I could work with and then changed..everything about it in order to fit my posture needs and then put it all together..... so I could ride in a comfortable position. That was years ago. I am still riding that bike. If you have a physical condition that keeps you from riding. More than likely they can put you on and then design a bike that is comfortable to your needs. They are still my go to when buying any new biking equipment, clothing, helmets and lights etc. I would like to give a big shout out to Bob whom worked with me years ago and to my delight is still there and Jess who was so patient with me looking at every helmet, every bike light, every pair of bike pants etc etc. (with a smile on her face) (^; I know they certainly needed a raise after I left there! Thank you for hiring and keeping such...
