I usually do not get on the internet and post negative comments. However, I found my experience with this Sonic unsatisfactory. On today I pulled in and ordered my food as a normally do. I ordered a small Sonic Blast which is $3.69 plus tax equals to $3.99. I gave an employee named Jordan a $20 bill and told him he owed me $16.00 in change. I did not care about the penny just the dollar amount. He comes back to my car and says $15.01 is your change and giving me this incorrect amount of money. I get out of my car and go in to let him know that I am missing $1.00. I explained this situation to the manager and he gave me a $1.00. I told the manager that this is the second time that Jordan tried to cheated me out of my correct change. I ask Jordan how old was he because he seemed like a high school student. The manager told me not to escalated the situation any further, so I said whatever twice and left.
Now mind you on last week, I was at this same Sonic and I had this same carhop named Jordan. The grand total for my order was $8.85 and I gave Jordan $20.85. I did this so that I could get back $8.00 even. Jordan came back to my car and was trying to hand me $7.15 in change. I gave him the $0.15 back and told him to go get my $1.00 that I was owed. He did return to my car with the $1.00. I do not know if this was racially motivated, and Jordan was trying to test my intelligence to see if I can count or he could be just a timid high school student.
Anyway, I do not appreciate any one playing games with my money. If I want to give Jordan or any other employee a tip I would. I do not need no employee to take it upon himself to try to steal my money and think I am not going to say something. I understand that people make mistakes I get that I really do. update for reply below I did contact the store manager about my visit. He offered to remake my shake. I ordered a shake and a kids meal. The HOT fudge shake was made first and sat while the rest of the food was made (the food was cold though?) And the shake became soup. When the worker handed me my shake, it was overflowing and I honestly should have refused it, but trying to be mindful of how terrible things are everywhere, I said it was fine. The second I put it in my cupholder, the cup broke (the hot fudge melted through the styrofoam) and my dogs started eating it. Enough to make them sick, but that's a whole other story.
So again, all of that, and the manager offered to remake my $4 wasted shake. (That wasn't the only mistake they made so idk why they wouldn't have ordered to just replace the meal.)
I called Corporate and their automated service hung up on me after 20+mins of waiting. And finally emailed and was offered a $5 gift card and declined it.
I'm a cancer patient and just wanted to feed my kid and get a shake in my body so I wouldn't feel so weak. I choose better places now and haven't had any issues avoiding...
