I was going to another bbq place in Robstown when the clerk at Stripes told me to go here. I'm glad I did. First the service was fast and friendly; smiles all around. And the food was so good. I ordered the brisket and sausage plate. It came with rice, beans, potato salad, pickles, onions, bread, bbq sauce and a 12 ounce can of soda. The brisket was well marbled, juicy, and tender, with good smokey flavor. The sausage was moist with a good flavor. some places cut the sausage too small and that dries out the meat. Not here. It is a long cut of sausage that is very moist and very flavorful. The fixings were also delicious. Potato salad was my favorite. They give you large portions of the meats. Brisket was a tad dry and lacked a little flavor on some spots. Would be better if they had a homemade sauce. I think they use sweet baby rays which is still good but was looking for something a little more authentic. We could be wrong though. The potato was the real nail in the coffin for us. It was hard and not very warm and had too much butter which wasn’t melted and cheese wasn’t really melted at all. Rudy’s baked potatoes are much better. The sausage was...
