Wish I can give this place a 0 star. My whole household orders from this place, and has been a customer for 15+ years. I will advise them to avoid this place if possible. I ordered delivery, waited for 2 hours and they had forgotten to give us our sweet and sour sauce. Since they were busy, we were asked to come pick up the sauce. Just the sauce. So we did and asked for a refund for delivery since there was no point in paying if I had to come here in the first place. Had to go back inside 2 times since the first time the girls at the register laughed and said no. The second time I had to speak with a manager and he tried to be accommodating. Gave us back the delivery charge, but they will lose more than that for this horrible service. The girls at the front will ruin your business with their attitude and how they deal with situations.
Edit: it's nice to know that I had to come all the way out there to get my sauce, I get attitude from this place and I get to come home for Christmas Eve and have cold food.
Update on 7/19/2020 - Since my last review I have seen an improvement from the customer service and quality of the food. I am very happy that these improvements have been made as this is my favourite spot to get Oriental food. When we called to let the guy know that our previous order was not up to par per usual, the guy on the phone took great care to make sure we were satisfied with our order. We even called back to say thank you as we were very impressed with how the food turned out. Any place can improve on their quality and service as long as they care to, and this shows that Liu's Garden does care. I hope to see this new pattern...
Read moreI ordered delivery thru doordash. Crab Rangoon and Curry Shrimp. I thought the food was pretty good when it got here, but I paid 16.58, basically 17 dollars for the Curry and it came in the little box full of green peppers, a few pea pods, and onions, maybe 7 or 8 shrimp (hard to tell because they were twisted and flattened almost unrecognizable) . For sure the box was 94% green peppers 2% pea pods 1%onion 1% curry sauce 2% shrimp. I was ok with that, the thing that actually bothered me was that it didn't come with rice. No where during the process of purchasing was I told there was no rice. So I called and asked, they said no, it doesn't come with rice. It's a dinner. Advertised as a dinner, why I would want green peppers with sauce and a couple of shrimp with no rice is beyond me. They don't deliver, so I had to either go there and buy rice after I ordered delivery, cook my own rice after I ordered delivery, or go thru door dash again and pay 15.75 for a 4 dollar rice. I opted for door dash. All in all I paid 50 dollars to eat cold curry green peppers and crab Rangoon. When I finally got the rice and mixed it up to eat, I realized after the first bite how super spicy hot it was. I love spicy food but this was way too much. My mouth was on fire for 20 minutes after I forced myself to eat 5 or 6 bites. For me, the experience was expensive, frustrating, and disappointing. I won't be...
Read moreIndescribably bad, totally unbelievably bad...I cannot believe they are in business. We expected a restaurant, not a fast food experience, we got over that. You are COMMANDED to place your order across an inconvenient table. Also, you stand and wait until ALL the phone calls are answered. Cheap - worse than cheap, plastic tableware is "provided." Crappy cheap plastic plates accompany your dinner. Husband ordered "large" broccoli with chicken. Chicken was tough, poorly cooked, broccoli was old, and the "large" was a very small container. It didn't matter, one bite and he threw his whole plate into the trash can. I had "orange chicken" and fried wonton. First, my order was large, mostly chewy old orange peel. Chicken was tough, really inedible. I ordered a small white rice. NEVER HAVE I EVER paid for a small scoop of rice on a 17 DOLLAR ENTREE, much less FIVE DOLLARS for a small box of rice. Fried won ton were filled with either shoe leather or tree bark, hard to tell. Tough, old, and chewy seems to be their business model. Unbelievably bad, or am I repeating myself? Two bad entrees, over priced rice, stale rancid wonton, and two canned drinks? Fifty bucks please, and you don't even get service or real forks. Why people go there with the other options in this town...
