My girlfriend and I went to taco johns hoping for something better than taco bell but we where surprised at how much worse it is than taco bell
My girlfriend ordered: -Meat & potato burrito - fried chicken -Super potato oles -no sour cream (as my girlfriend is lactose and tolerant)
I ordered: -#8
Everything that follows was a surprise. They asked if I wanted to add nacho cheese to the combo. They failed to say it was an up charge of 1.39$. They asked what size for the meal. They failed to inform me that the meal originally comes as a small and to upgrade costs an extra .30 cents for the drink alone. Then added on a medium potato oles for .39 cents without asking. Then they asked what meat for burrito with the meal. I said the fried chicken sounds good. Once again they did not inform of the up-charge. It was another up-charge of 1.50$. Oh. Also. They added a random burrito we did not order for 2.29$.
In total we got charged 5.87$ without our knowledge. We found out of all the up-charges when we looked at the receipt in the bag when we got home.
Now, for the finale! They kept the sour cream on my girlfriends meal which we had to get rid (the whole super potato oles) became if she takes one bite of the sour cream she would be sent her to the ER.
One more thing. If you don't like greasy foods don't eat...
Read moreIdk who's running this store, but the staff are so incredibly hit or miss, it's astonishing. Some days I come through, they are on point and great customer service! And then there's nights like tonight. Upon entering the drive thru, there were 3 guys out back passing a blunt amongst each other. Im hyped for a legal state too, but at work? Seriously? Do it literally anywhere other than work, especially right in front of customers. After ordering in the drive thru, we checked our bag to make sure all of our food is there (we've come through several times and the orders are correct maybe half of the time, check your bag folks) and we were only missing a couple sides of queso, no big deal, right? So, we went back in to ask if we can get our sides and the girl who helped us couldn't seem more bothered by this small request. Alayna, I think? She rolled her eyes and gave a big sigh when we asked for the 2 sides of queso. Again, not really a big task? When we got our sides, they weren't even half full.. that is some petty service. It's such a small and miniscule error to correct, and you still chose to be petty? It's so bizarre to me. Overall, whoever is in management really needs to set some boundaries. We get it, food service sucks, we've all been there, but there are some standards you really need to uphold. It's...
Read moreThis Taco John's deserves 0 stars. I was in the area for a few days, and unfortunately gave this restaurant two chances. The first time, I received 3 items. Upon arriving at my hotel, I realized that all 3 items were wrong. I should not have gone back... but I was driving right by and it was convenient. This time I went inside to make sure I got the right food. Ordering was chaotic. I had to tell the guy at the register what I wanted multiple times, but he constantly tried to charge me for the wrong food. The restaurant itself was disgusting. The pop/condiment station was filthy. The tables were dirty, but the employees did clean the trays. In fact, all they did the entire time I was inside was clean trays, talk, and hang out in the restrooms. Yes, the employees went into the restrooms for long periods of time and only came out when other employees would knock on the door and tell them it was time. What they were doing in there is beyond me, and I probably don't want to know. Don't go here. After I got my food, I honestly was so disgusted I didn't want to eat it. Seriously... it's terrible. Avoid,...
