This is clearly a poorly run business in my opinion. I ordered food from their website today and when I got down there it appeared that they were actually closed, yet both Google and their own Facebook said they were open. Their website did not inform me that they were closed and let me order just like normal. They wouldn't initially answer my calls or Facebook messages and their voicemail box was not setup. Someone finally answered my call and messages and informed me that I have been refunded, but that has not been reflected on my bank account yet.
(Edit): This business did have a post BELOW their pinned post on Facebook stating they would be closed. Most people would not have seen this and I think it is very passive aggressive of them to mention it. "The closure was posted on our facebook page and shop doors." Saying things like this is not taking full responsibility and is instead trying to put the blame on me. I would have deleted this review and considered the matter resolved had they not said this.
This business did send me photos of my refund information that contained financial information through an unsecure Facebook message, so I've since had to block my card. They have caused me nothing but a hassle this weekend and I stand by my opinion that it is a poorly run business. This is not the first time I've had an unpleasant experience here. I would NOT recommend ever going here.
(Edit 2): All they had to do was apologize and refund me, but every step of the way, both on here and Facebook, they have hinted that it was my fault this has happened and now they have resorted to personal attacks.
If they truly want to "make things right", they need only refute the following statement that they made previously, as it is a ridiculous comment that has no bearing on the situation at hand:
"The closure was posted on our facebook page and shop doors."
The fact is that both Google and their own Facebook page said they were open, so to allude that I should have magically seen some Facebook post or a note on their physical shop before making an online order from their website is both ridiculous...
Read moreLong story short - this place left a bitter taste in my mouth, both literally and figuratively.
First, the espresso is not good, in fact very bitter. I threw it away before finishing, which is not like me at all. If a coffee shop can't do a basic americano right, it is very difficult to recommend.
Second, I was charged around 50% more than the price on the prominently displayed price list. Total for a double shot americano? $3.94. The price on the banner was $2.50.
Third, and the nail in the coffin - I had a brief interaction with the owner that goes FAR beyond poor customer service. When I asked about the price I was charged, she simply said (paraphrased, but accurate) "Oh, our price list is wrong. We are working on getting it changed."
What???
I am a low maintenance customer, and rarely complain about even mediocre service. But rather than saying "I apologize, it looks there's a price discrepancy between our point of sale system and the posted price list. We are working on getting that changed, but I will go ahead and give you a partial refund, so you pay the price you thought you were going to pay when you ordered", she basically said, "tough luck".
I didn't have time to argue, so I said something like "well, it would have been nice to know the actual price before ordering", took my overpriced coffee and left.
I will never find out if this place ever gets their act together, because there is no way I can rationalize ever going back. I hope this helps someone else decide whether they will even give Buckin'Coffee the...
Read moreThought we'd try to branch out from Starbucks stop on our frequent I-80 trips. Stopped by this place and got a bad feeling from the employee's attitude when she came out an asked us to change parking spots, but the request was reasonable so we moved the car. My pregnant wife has to pee frequently so she ran into the shop before me as I searched our car for my wallet. Turns out the lady wouldn't let her into the bathroom before I made an order. Luckily it only took me a minute or so to find my wallet. After entering I ordered my usual, a 2 shot Americano, which for those who aren't familiar is just two shots of coffee and hot water, normally between 2.25 and 3.00, the most simple coffee drink. She rang me up and asked for 4.80. Very confused by the request I asked about it because their menu board clearly said 12oz : $3.00. I asked what the deal was and she told me, as if I were a peculiarly dumb child, that a 16oz 'drink' was 4.80. I told her that a.) my cup was 12 oz, b.) even if it was 16oz drink, the rest of the room would have been filled with hot water and every single other coffee shop in the world charges per shot in an americano, and c.) their menu board says 3.25 for a 16oz americano. She went on to tell me that the menu was wrong. I guess every other coffee shop in America is basically giving away their americanos for cost and that her sign was wrong and she was, in...
