Rockdale Pancake House — Restaurant in Rockdale

I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt for the fact that, they’re only a week old! I’ll give it another shot and update the ratings accordingly, however, the experience left a bad taste in my mouth, literally too!

We got there and sat down, ordered our food, and 20 minutes, and we see some tables that sat after we did getting their food, didn’t think much of it, but then 30 minutes pass, then 40 minutes and you begin to think “ok what’s up”, find out they misplaced or forgot about our ticket and the food comes. No apology or thanks for the wait from the waitress…Food was Luke warm, toast was right outta the bag and not even toasted the slightest.

Will try again though and again, everyone else seemed happy, I just must’ve been a one in a hundred type...

The food was great and the service was friendly and quick. We had a variety of different plates for our group of 7 and everyone loved it. The only comment that I have, which is why it's 4/5 stars is that after the meal was paid for (with a 20% tip), all service stopped. We stayed for another 30-45 minutes because half the group was from out of town and leaving afterwards. The restaurant was nearly empty with only 3-4 other tables so we weren't taking up and needed space. The wait staff just gave us off-putting looks occasionally but never came over to over refills on drinks or even to clear additional items from the table.

Big selection of food! Dined in the food was great, it warm & didnt take long, also the servers were great! They were busy, & they are new & i feel they handled the crowd just fine! I believe the servers are bilingual as well pretty much ready to help with no language barriers! If i have 1 suggestion, it has nothing to do with service or workers but more or less the place can use a few pictures/paintings maybe small tv or even a clock on the walls. Or even old picture of rockdale since the name is rockdale pancake basically it needs a little decoration something to give the place life/character. Other than that lol i have no complaints,...
