Beef-A-Roo — Restaurant in Rockford Township

I like Beef a Roo quite a bit. Great tasting food for most of the time I've gone. Their onion rings are one of my favorites and I'm happy with their burgers and fries are some golden goodness.

What I am continually unhappy with are their salads. They have some great options to choose from, I really like their Santa Fe Chicken salad and good toppings selection.

What I get time and again is brown wilted lettuce like what I pulled out on the left that shouldn't be served. If this were a one off, I wouldn't leave this review, but it's probably more than fifty percent of the time I can't just dive in without checking it first. I want to see some quality control put in place, because this makes something that has great flavor become very unappetizing.

The additional problem of the day was I was asked if I wanted salsa, sour cream or avocado. I asked for the salsa. They put avocado on instead, were kind enough to take it off, but still left me with no salsa and I had already driven off.

Their drive thru at this particular location is hard to navigate as well as they have 2 entrances to the same line and you have to hope the other customers will choose to be polite and go in proper order, or you may find yourself waiting...

Food Is delicious. I absolutely love beef a roo, I got the milk shake (Chocolate) fries, onion rings and a roast beef. Fries have a special season salt which is amazing. Milk shake is super thick and chocolatey which is nice. I never complain about the food just the prices are a tad high considering they don't have meals you have to buy everything seperate which gets expensive fast especially for families. That is the one reason they got 4 stars besides they have rude employees when I go through drive thru I ateast want to hear a hello or how are you? Simple nice friendly customer service. Many teenagers at fast food places clearly don't know what customer service is cause they just tell you your price not a hi once again or anything. That is something I suggest...

Update Stopped in for lunch and this place was slammed. However, the staff were awesome and never let that pressure show. Our food was fast and correct. Our first time trying out the chicken wrap and the chicken sandwich. We also got cheese fries, which were very yummy. I also had a coupon for a free small shake, I got the mint chocolate and I was very happy. Our food was very, very good. I definitely like the way this location makes thier food and treats the customers.

Used the drive thru. Food was made correctly and tasted just fine. Had the turkey jack and avocado sandwich with onion rings. It was pretty good, just way too much lettuce. Really did like the onion rings. I would recommend...
