Must have had an off night or still figuring some things out. Ordered take out - said 30 min - took 1.25 hours. While waiting multiple people walked out who had been waiting for their food. Said they were out of red and green curry so got the panang, but it seemed like red? Was flavorful enough but more of a soup and all the vegetables were raw - got a quarter of a raw onion - and also very little chicken compared to other Thai restaurants in the area. Orange chicken was pretty good but for $15 was expecting more of a serving - felt more like a lunch size. It also didn’t have green onion or sesame seeds as advertised - just chicken and rice. I read the portions were huge and was a great value but unfortunately I wouldn’t agree here. The papaya salad was very good I’ll give them that - very spicy for a medium which is good with me but others probably wouldn’t. Mango sticky rice was good too but did not get “coconut lava and sesame seeds” as per the menu. I’m sure they will figure it out soon but probably won’t be back for a while...

Read moreOrdered the crispy chicken wings, beef laab (sour and Lao spicy! 🌶️) that came with broth on the side, spicy Lao sausage, and brown sugar milk tea. The sticky rice and food was authentic and sublime!! The laab was so refreshing and spicy, we were sweating and couldn’t stop eating. The sausage had a nice blend of spice and herbiness.
The interior was clean and cute and the service was friendly and speedy. The sausage did take a little while to come out (I believe since it’s roasted and they apparently make it in-house!) and they ran out boba pearls, but you could really tell the staff cares for their customers and the overall deliciousness and value for 2 adults and a toddler eating was incredible. We were only passing through Rockford, but we’ll have to come back!
Pictured: Lao sausage only because we dug into everything...
